Kaala Patthar Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This film was Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor’s fourth film with director Yash Chopra. Earlier, both had also worked with Yash Chopra in the films Deewar, Kabhi Kabhie and Trishul.
2) The story of this film was based on the 1975 Chasnala Mining Disaster. In which about 375 miners were killed.
3) This film proved to be average at the box office. But the film got a very good response from the critics and the film became a cult classic of Bollywood.
4) The makers of this film were not happy with Rajesh Roshan’s music and wanted to remove Rajesh Roshan. When Lata Mangeshkar came to know about this, she told the makers that if Rajesh Roshan was removed from the film, then she too would not go to sing for this film. Then in compulsion, Rajesh Roshan was not removed by the makers of the film.
5) Poonam Dhillon did a cameo in this film. She was seen in the song “Meri Dooron Se Aaye Baaraat”.
6) Poonam Dhillon was earlier going to play Parveen Babi role in this film. But Yash Chopra felt that Poonam Dhillon would look very small in this role. That’s why he gave a cameo role to Poonam Dhillon. Poonam Dhillon had said yes for the cameo role but later she regretted it a lot.
7) Yash Chopra’s wife Pamela Chopra sang the song “Jagaya Jagaya” in this film.
8) Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and Parveen Babi were also seen in the film Suhaag in the same year.
9) The shooting of this film started from September 27, 1976.

1) ये फिल्म अमिताभ बच्चन और शशि कपूर की डायरेक्टर यश चोपड़ा के साथ में चौथी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले दोनों ने यश चोपड़ा के साथ दीवार, कभी कभी और त्रिशूल फिल्म में भी काम किया था.
2) इस फिल्म की कहानी सन 1975 में हुयी चासनाला माइनिंग डिजास्टर पर आधारित थी. जिसमे करीब 375 माइनर्स की मौत हुयी थी.
3) ये फिल्म भले बॉक्स ऑफिस में एवरेज साबित हुयी थी. लेकिन क्रिटिक से इस फिल्म को बहुत अच्छा रिस्पांस मिला था और ये फिल्म बॉलीवुड की कल्ट क्लासिक फिल्म बन गयी.
4) इस फिल्म के मेकर्स राजेश रोशन के म्यूजिक से खुश नहीं थे और वे राजेश रोशन को हटाना चाहते थे. जब ये बात लता मंगेशकर को पता चली तो उन्होंने मेकर्स से कहा था की अगर राजेश रोशन को फिल्म से हटाओगे तो वे भी इस फिल्म के लिए गाना नहीं जाएंगी. फिर मजबूरी में फिल्म के मेकर्स ने राजेश रोशन को नहीं हटाया था.
5) इस फिल्म में पूनम ढिल्लों ने कैमियो किया था. वे ” मेरी दूरों से आये बारात ” वाले गाने में नज़र आयी थी.
6) पूनम ढिल्लों इस फिल्म में पहले परवीन बाबी वाला रोल करने वाली थी. लेकिन यश चोपड़ा को लगा की पूनम ढिल्लों इस रोल में काफी छोटी लगेंगी. इसलिए उन्होंने पूनम ढिल्लों को एक कैमियो रोल दिया था. पूनम ढिल्लों ने कैमियो रोल के लिए हाँ तो बोल दिया था लेकिन बाद में उन्हें बहुत पछतावा हुआ था.
7) इस फिल्म में यश चोपड़ा की पत्नी पामेला चोपड़ा ने ” जगाया जगाया ” वाला गाना गाय था.
8) अमिताभ बच्चन, शशि कपूर और परवीन बाबी इस फिल्म के अलावा उसी साल आयी फिल्म सुहाग में भी नज़र आये थे.
