Hare Rama Hare Krishna Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Before Zeenat Aman, the role of Jasbir was offered to Mumtaz. But she did not want to play the role of Devanand’s sister. That’s why she was placed opposite Devanand. After the release of the film, Zeenat Aman’s role was liked more than Mumtaz.
2) The story of this film was inspired by the 1968 Hollywood film Psych Out.
3) When Devanand once went to Kathmandu, Nepal. That’s when he saw some hippies and from there he got the idea to make this film.
4) Devanand had asked his children Sunil and Devina to play the role of Prashant and Jasbir’s childhood. But both were ashamed to come in front of the camera. That’s why both of them refused. Then Prashant and Jasbir’s childhood role was played by Baby Guddu and Master Satyajit.
5) This film was the second film made under the direction of Devanand. The first film made under his direction was Prem Pujari, which was a flop at the box office.
6) Zeenat Aman’s father did not want his daughter to join the film. Zeenat Aman’s father died before the release of Hare Rama Hare Krishna.
हरे रमा हरे कृष्णा फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in HIndi ) :
1) ज़ीनत अमान से पहले जसबीर का रोल मुमताज़ को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन वे देवानंद की बहन का रोल नहीं निभाना चाहती थी. इसलिए उन्हें देवानंद के अपोजिट रखा गया था. फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद मुमताज़ से ज्यादा ज़ीनत अमान के रोल को ज्यादा पसंद किया गया था.
2) इस फिल्म की कहानी सन 1968 में आयी हॉलीवुड फिल्म साइक आउट से इंस्पायर्ड थी.
3) जब देवानंद एक बार नेपाल के काठमांडू गए थे. तभी उन्होंने कुछ हिप्पीज को देखा था और वहीं से उन्हें ये फिल्म बनाने का आईडिया आया था.
4) देवानंद ने अपने बच्चे सुनील और देविना से प्रशांत और जसबीर के बचपन का रोल निभाने को कहा था. लेकिन दोनों को कैमरा के सामने आने से शर्म आ रही थी. इसलिए दोनों ने मना कर दिया था. फिर प्रशांत और जसबीर के बचपन का रोल बेबी गुड्डू और मास्टर सत्यजीत ने निभाया था.
5) ये फिल्म देवानंद की डायरेक्शन में बनी दूसरी फिल्म थी. उनकी डायरेक्शन में बनी पहली फिल्म प्रेम पुजारी थी, जो बॉक्स ऑफिस में फ्लॉप रही थी.
6) ज़ीनत अमान के पिता नहीं चाहते थे की उनकी बेटी फिल्म ज्वाइन करे. हरे रामा हरे कृष्णा फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने से पहले ही ज़ीनत अमान के पिता की मौत हो गयी थी.
