Gardish Movie Unknown Facts :

1) This film was Jackie Shroff’s last hit film as a solo lead actor.

2) Priyadarshan wanted to shoot the climax of this film in Mahalaxmi Dhobighat. But there was such a crowd that it was not possible to shoot. Hence, Priyadarshan had asked Art Director Sabu Cyril to make the same set. Then Art Director Sabu Cyril went to that Mahalaxmi Dhobighat place and took some photos. When Jackie Shroff, Amrish Puri and the rest of the star cast arrived to shoot, they were shocked to see the set. Because that set looked exactly like Mahalaxmi Dhobighat.

3) When Amitabh Bachchan saw this film, he asked director Priyadarshan how did you shoot in Mahalakshmi Dhobighat? Amitabh Bachchan also shot the Don film there, so he knew that the place is very crowded and shooting is not easy. Then Priyadarshan told Amitabh Bachchan that this is not a real location, but Art Director Sabu Cyril has created this set.

4) In this film, Amrish Puri and Farida Jalal played the role of husband and wife for the first time.

5) Mukesh Rishi was well recognized from this film. He played the role of Billa in this film. This film was Mukesh Rishi’s fourth film in Bollywood. Earlier, he appeared in the film Ghayal, Hamla and Parampara. But he had only a small role in those films and there was no special role.

गर्दिश फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :

1) ये फिल्म जैकी श्रॉफ की सोलो लीड एक्टर के रूप में आखरी हिट फिल्म थी.

2) प्रियदर्शन इस फिल्म के क्लाइमेक्स की शूटिंग को महालक्ष्मी धोबीघाट में करना चाहते थे. लेकिन वहां इतनी भीड़ रहती थी की शूटिंग करना मुमकिन नहीं था. इसलिए प्रियदर्शन ने आर्ट डायरेक्टर साबू सायरिल को वैसे ही सेम सेट बनाने को कहा था. फिर आर्ट डायरेक्टर साबू सायरिल उस महालक्ष्मी धोबीघाट जगह में गए और उन्होंने कुछ फोटोज खींचा. जब जैकी श्रॉफ, अमरीश पूरी और बाकि स्टारकास्ट शूटिंग करने पहुंचे तो सेट देख कर चौंक गए थे. क्योंकि वो सेट बिलकुल महालक्ष्मी धोबीघाट जैसा ही दिख रहा था.

3) जब अमिताभ बच्चन ने इस फिल्म को देखा था, तो उन्होंने डायरेक्टर प्रियदर्शन से पूछा था की आपने महालक्ष्मी धोबीघाट में शूटिंग कैसे करि ? अमिताभ बच्चन ने भी डॉन फिल्म की शूटिंग वहां की थी, इसलिए उन्हें पता था की वो जगह बहुत भीड़ होती है और शूटिंग करना आसान नहीं होता. फिर प्रियदर्शन ने अमिताभ बच्चन से कहा था की ये रियल लोकेशन नहीं है बल्कि आर्ट डायरेक्टर साबू सायरिल ने इस सेट को बनाया है.

4) इस फिल्म में पहली बार अमरीश पूरी और फरीदा जलाल ने पति और पत्नी का रोल निभाया था.
