1) The story of this film was based on the Gujarati stage play “Kanji Virudh Kanji”.
2) The remake of this film was later made in Telugu and Kannada as well. The Telugu remake was titled Gopala Gopala and the Kannada remake was titled Mukunda Murari.
3) The film won the National Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
4) In this film Prabhu Deva and Sonakshi Sinha did an item number in the song “Go Go Go Govinda”.
