1) A sequel to this film was also made with the same starcast. Which was released the same year in 1989. whose title was kept Phir Lehraya Lal Dupatta Malamal Ka. But the film was not successful as first part and the film flopped.
2) This film was the debut and only film of both Sahil Chadha and Veverly.

1) वही स्टारकास्ट को लेकर इस फिल्म का सीक्वल भी बनाया गया था. जो उसी साल ही 1989 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. जिसका टाइटल फिर लहराया लाल दुपट्टा मलमल का रखा गया था. लेकिन पहले पार्ट जितनी सफलता नहीं मिली और फिल्म फ्लॉप हो गयी थी.
2) ये फिल्म साहिल चड्ढा और वेवर्ली दोनों की डेब्यू और एक मात्र फिल्म थी.
