Footpath Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This film was a remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s film Angaaray which was released in 1998 and Angaaray was also inspired by the 1990 Hollywood film State of Grace.
2) This film was Emraan Hashmi’s debut film in Bollywood.
3) Celina Jaitley was signed in this film before Bipasha Basu. But later she was removed from the film for some reason.
4) Emraan Hashmi’s voice was dubbed in this film. His voice was given by Vikram Bhatt himself.
5) There was a song in this film “Chain Aapko Mila” and the same song was also in the movie Hungama. The film Hungama was also released in August the same year. The music director of both the films was Nadeem Shravan. But in the film Hungama, this song was sung by Shaan and Sadhana Sargam, while in the Footpath film, the same song was sung by Balasubramaniam and Asha Bhosle.
6) This film was a clash with Salman Khan’s film Tere Naam and in this clash Tere Naam won.
7) The voice of Bipasha Basu was also dubbed in this film.
8) The title of this film was earlier kept as “Dhaav”. But later it was changed to ” Footpath “.
9) Even before this film, in 1975, 1988 and 1992, the film was being made with the Footpath title. But all the films were shelved due to some reason.
फुटपाथ फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म सन 1998 में आयी महेश भट्ट की ही फिल्म अंगारे की रीमेक थी और अंगारे फिल्म भी सन 1990 में आयी हॉलीवुड फिल्म स्टेट ऑफ़ ग्रेस से प्रेरित थी.
2) ये फिल्म इमरान हाश्मी की बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
3) बिपाशा बासु से पहले इस फिल्म में सेलिना जेटली को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में उन्हें इस फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था.
4) इस फिल्म में इमरान हाश्मी की आवाज़ को डब किया गया था. उनकी आवाज़ को खुद विक्रम भट्ट ने दी थी.
5) इस फिल्म में एक गाना था ” चैन आपको मिला ” और यही गाना हंगामा फिल्म में भी था. हंगामा फिल्म भी उसी साल ही अगस्त में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. दोनों ही फिल्म के म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर नदीम श्रवण थे. लेकिन हंगामा फिल्म में ये गाना शान और साधना सरगम ने गाया था, जबकि फुटपाथ फिल्म में यही गाने को बालसुब्रमनियम और आशा भोसले ने गाये थे.
6) ये फिल्म सलमान खान की फिल्म तेरे नाम के साथ क्लैश हुयी थी और इस क्लैश में तेरे नाम ने बाज़ी मारी थी.
7) इस फिल्म में बिपाशा बासु की आवाज़ को भी डब किया गया था.
8) इस फिल्म का टाइटल पहले ” धाव ” रखा गया था. लेकिन बाद में इसे बदलकर ” फुटपाथ ” कर दिया गया था.
