1) Vinod Khanna and Madhuri Dixit’s kissing scene of this film had a big controversy at that time.
2) This film was a Hindi remake of the 1987 Tamil film Nayakan. And the rights of this film were bought by Feroz Khan for Rs 10 lakhs.
3) Tinnu Anand played the role of the police in both the original Tamil version of the film and in its Hindi version.
4) The shooting of this film was done very quickly and the shooting of this film was completed in 2 months.
5) Dil Tera Kisna Toda song was added to the film after the film’s entire shooting was finished.
6) There was a scene in this film in which Feroz Khan enters the building and fights with some people. Vinod Khanna was the first to do this scene. But the day the scene of this scene was shot, Vinod Khanna could not reach on time. Due to which the shooting was getting delayed, then this scene was done by Feroz Khan himself.

दयावान फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ दिलचस्प और अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म का विनोद खन्ना और माधुरी दीक्षित का किस वाला सीन में उस समय बहुत कंट्रोवर्सी हुयी थी.
2) ये फिल्म सन 1987 में आयी तमिल फिल्म नायकन की हिंदी रीमेक थी. और इस फिल्म के राइट्स को फिरोज खान ने 10 लाख रूपये में खरीदा था.
3) टीनू आनंद ने इस फिल्म के ओरिजिनल तमिल वर्शन में और इसके हिंदी वर्शन में दोनों में ही पुलिस का रोल निभाया था.
4) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग को बहुत जल्दी जल्दी किया गया था और 2 महीने में ही इस फिल्म की शूटिंग को पूरा कर लिया गया था.
5) इस फिल्म का दिल तेरा किसने तोड़ा वाले गाने को फिल्म की पूरी शूटिंग ख़त्म बाद में फिल्म में एड किया गया था.
6) इस फिल्म में एक सीन था जिसमे फिरोज खान बिल्डिंग में घुसकर कुछ लोगो से लड़ाई करते हैं. ये सीन को पहले विनोद खन्ना करने वाले थे. लेकिन जिस दिन इस सीन की शूटिंग थी उस दिन विनोद खन्ना समय पर नहीं पा रहे थे. जिसके कारण शूटिंग में डिले हो रही थी, इसलिए फिर ये सीन को खुद फिरोज खान ने किया था.
7) इस फिल्म में लीड एक्ट्रेस का रोल सबसे पहले श्रीदेवी को ऑफर हुआ था. और वे इस फिल्म में काम भी करना चाहती थी. लेकिन वे इस फिल्म का इंटिमेट सीन नहीं करना चाहती थी. इसलिए बाद में उन्होंने ये फिल्म साइन नहीं किया था.
8) इस फिल्म में फिरोज खान पहले लीड एक्टर होने वाले थे. लेकिन स्क्रिप्ट में इंटिमेट सीन होने के कारण फिर उन्होंने ये रोल नहीं किया था.
9) विनोद खन्ना से पहले फिरोज खान इस फिल्म में जैकी श्रॉफ को लेने चाहते थे. लेकिन बाद में उन्हें लगा की जैकी श्रॉफ से ज़्यदा इस रोल में विनोद खन्ना ज्यादा सूट करेंगे. इसलिए उन्होंने जैकी श्रॉफ की जगह फिर विनोद खन्ना को लिया था.
10) इस फिल्म में अलोक नाथ ने विनोद खन्ना और फिरोज खान के पिता का रोल निभाया था. जबकि रियल लाइफ में फिरोज खान और विनोद खन्ना दोनों ही उनसे बड़े है.
