1) In this film, earlier Chandrachur Singh was going to be seen in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt was going to do a cameo. Due to Sanjay Dutt’s small role, the distributor of the film was not paying the right price to Raj Kanwar. That’s why Raj Kanwar increased the role of Sanjay Dutt and made a two hero film.
2) Raj Kanwar was not getting the title rights of the film Daag. Because these rights were taken by Yash Chopra and he refused to give these rights. That’s why Raj Kanwar had put the “The Fire” on film’s title.
3) Mahima Chaudhary played a double role for the first time in this film. She played the role of Kajal and Kajri in this film.
4) This film was the first film of Mahima Chaudhary and Chandrachur Singh together. In the same year, their second film “Dil Kya Kare” was released.

दाग द फायर फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में पहले चंद्रचूड़ सिंह लीड रोल में नज़र आने वाले थे और संजय दत्त कैमियो करने वाले थे. संजय दत्त का छोटा सा रोल होने के कारण फिल्म के डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर राज कँवर को सही प्राइस नहीं दे रहे थे. इसलिए राज कँवर ने संजय दत्त के रोल को बढ़ा दिया था और दो हीरो वाली फिल्म बना दिया था.
2) राज कँवर को दाग फिल्म के टाइटल के राइट्स नहीं मिल रहे थे. क्योंकि ये राइट्स यश चोपड़ा के पास थे और उन्होंने ये राइट्स देने से इंकार कर दिया था. इसलिए राज कँवर ने दाग टाइटल के आग ” द फायर ” लगा दिया था.
3) इस फिल्म में महिमा चौधरी ने पहली बार डबल रोल निभाया था. उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काजल और कजरी का रोल निभाया था.
