Chhapaak Movie Facts :
1) The story of this film was based on the Acid Attack Survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. When Lakshmi Aggarwal was 15 years old, a 32-year-old Nadeem Khan man threw acid on her.
2) A day before the release of this film, Lakshmi Aggarwal’s lawyer filed a case against the makers of Chhapak film. Laxmi Aggarwal’s lawyer said that the film’s makers have not mentioned her in the film, while she too had an important role in getting justice to Laxmi Agarwal.
3) Deepika Padukone made her debut as a producer with this film.
4) A few days after the release of this film, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan were tax free.
5) Deepika Padukone went to JNU for the promotion of her film Chhapaak. On the day Deepika went to JNU, on the same day, the accused of Nirbhaya were also sentenced to be hanged. While Deepika had to go to Nirbhaya’s mother who had been fighting for the last 7 years to get her daughter justice.
But Deepika went to JNU because she thought that she would get more publicity there and the film would become super hit, but it fell on Deepika. After Deepika went to JNU, many people opposed her and her film. And the result of which was that Chhapak proved to be a flop in the box office.
6) One of the reasons that this film flopped is that Chhapak had clashed with Ajay Devgn’s film Tanhaji and where Deepika’s film would have been able to stand in front of Ajay Devgan’s film.
छपाक फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें :
1) इस फिल्म की कहानी एसिड अटैक सर्वाइवर लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल की पर आधारित थी. लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल जब 15 साल की थी तब उनपर 32 साल के नदीम खान के एक व्यक्ति ने एसिड फेंक दिया था.
2) इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने से एक दिन पहले ही लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल की वकील ने छपाक फिल्म के मेकर्स पर केस फाइल किया था. लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल की वकील का कहना था की फिल्म के मेकर्स ने उनको फिल्म में मेंशन नहीं किया है, जबकि उनका भी अहम् रोल था लक्ष्मी अग्रवाल को न्याय दिलवाने में.
3) इस फिल्म से दीपिका पादुकोण ने प्रोडूसर के रूप में अपना डेब्यू किया था.
4) इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के कुछ दिन बाद ही छत्तीसगढ़, मध्य प्रदेश और राजस्थान में टैक्स फ्री कर दिया गया था.
5) दीपिका पादुकोण अपनी फिल्म छपाक के प्रमोशन के लिए JNU चली गयी थी. जिस दिन दीपिका JNU गयी थी उसी दिन निर्भया के गुनहगारों को भी फांसी की सजा सुनाई गयी थी. जबकि दीपिका को निर्भया की माँ के पास जाना था जो की अपनी बेटी को न्याय दिलाने के लिए पिछले 7 सालों से लड़ रही थी.
पर दीपिका चली गयी JNU क्योंकि उनको लगता था की उन्हें वहां ज्यादा पब्लिसिटी मिलेगी और फिल्म सुपरहिट हो जाएगी, पर ये दीपिका पर ही पड़ गया उल्टा. दीपिका के JNU जाने के बाद काफी लोगों ने उनका और उनकी फिल्म का काफी विरोध किया था. और जिसका नतीजा ये हुआ की छपाक बॉक्स ऑफिस में फ्लॉप साबित हुयी थी.
6) इस फिल्म के फ्लॉप होने का एक कारण ये भी है की छपाक अजय देवगन की फिल्म तन्हाजी के साथ क्लैश हुयी थी और कहाँ दीपिका की फिल्म अजय देवगन की फिल्म के सामने टिकने पाती.
