1) In this film, Anil Kapoor played a double role for the first time. In this film, he played the role of Avinash Rathore and Junior.
2) Sanjay Dutt was cast in this film before Jackie Shroff. But then Sanjay Dutt got addicted to drugs. So he was later dropped from the film.
3) In this film, Anil Kapoor’s ‘Jhakaas’ phrase was very popular, which was written by Naeem Shah. Even today, in the Award show, Anil Kapoor keeps on saying the ‘Jhakkas’ phrase.
4) When Rajiv Rai planned to make this film in 1981. Then Avinash Rathore’s role was to play Raj Kiran. But this film was delayed and Raj Kiran’s film was not able to do anything special in the box office. That’s why Rajiv Rai replaced Raj Kiran and took Anil Kapoor.
5) After the release of this film, there was a fight between Director Rajiv Rai and Anil Kapoor. Because in the credits of this film, Anil Kapoor was named after Jackie Shroff. Anil Kapoor said that he is senior to Jackie Shroff, so his name should come before Jackie Shroff. While Rajiv Rai said that Anil Kapoor is in the supporting role in this film, how can he be named before Jackie Shroff. Due to the fight over the name, Anil Kapoor never worked with Rajiv Rai again.
6) Madan Puri had died even before dubbing this film. Hence his dubbing was done by the dubbing artist.
7) This film was Rajiv Rai’s directional debut film.
8) After Raj Kiran, the role of Avinash Rathore was offered to Sunny Deol. But due to lack of dates, he refused to work in this film.
9) Tina Munim withdrew from the film due to Sanjay Dutt. However, after remove Sanjay Dutt from the film, Rajiv Rai once again offered the film to Tina Munim and Tina accepted the book.
10) In this film, Jackie Shroff really punched Anil Kapoor in the shooting of the fight scene between Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor.
11) After the release of this film, many people asked Nutan “Why did you do such a small role in this film?”. Nutan then replied that she had a big role in this film. But her scenes were edited and removed from the film.
12) Suresh Oberoi said in an interview that producer Gulshan Rai had removed him from the film without telling him and replaced him with Shatrughan Sinha.
13) Amrish Puri was signed in this film before Danny Denzongpa. But later he left the film for some reason.

युद्ध फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में अनिल कपूर ने पहली बार डबल रोल निभाया था. इस फिल्म में उन्होंने अविनाश राठौर और जूनियर का रोल निभाया था.
2) जैकी श्रॉफ से पहले इस फिल्म में संजय दत्त को लिया गया था. लेकिन तब संजय दत्त को ड्रग्स की लत लग गयी थी. इसलिए बाद में उन्हें फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था.
3) इस फिल्म में अनिल कपूर का बोला ‘ झक्कास ‘ फ्रेज बहुत पॉपुलर हुआ था, जिसे नईम शाह ने लिखा था. आज भी अनिल कपूर अवार्ड शो में ‘ झक्कास ‘ फ्रेज बोलते रहते हैं.
4) राजीव राय ने जब इस फिल्म को सन 1981 में बनाने का प्लान किया था. तब अविनाश राठौर का रोल राज किरण निभाने वाले थे. लेकिन ये फिल्म डिले हो गयी थी और राज किरण की फिल्म भी बॉक्स ऑफिस में कुछ ख़ास कमाल नहीं कर पा रही थी. इसलिए राजीव राय ने राज किरण को हटाकर अनिल कपूर को लिया था.
5) इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद डायरेक्टर राजीव राय और अनिल कपूर के बीच में लड़ाई हो गयी थी. क्योंकि इस फिल्म के क्रेडिट में अनिल कपूर का नाम जैकी श्रॉफ के बाद रखा गया था. अनिल कपूर का कहना था की वे जैकी श्रॉफ से सीनियर हैं इसलिए उनका नाम जैकी श्रॉफ से पहले आना चाहिए. जबकि राजीव राय का कहना था की इस फिल्म में अनिल कपूर सपोर्टिंग रोल में है तो कैसे उनका नाम जैकी श्रॉफ से पहले रखा जा सकता है. नाम को लेकर लड़ाई के चलते ही अनिल कपूर ने फिर कभी राजीव राय के साथ काम नहीं किया.
6) इस फिल्म की डबिंग करने से पहले ही मदन पूरी की मौत हो गयी थी. इसलिए उनकी डबिंग को डबिंग आर्टिस्ट ने किया था.
7) ये फिल्म राजीव राय की डायरेक्शनल डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
8) राज किरण के बाद अविनाश राठौर का रोल सनी देओल को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन डेट्स न होने के कारण उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
9) टीना मुनीम संजय दत्त के चलते इस फिल्म से हट गयी थी. लेकिन बाद में संजय दत्त को फिल्म से हटाने के बाद राजीव राय ने एक बार फिर से टीना मुनीम को फिल्म का ऑफर दिया था और टीना मुनीम मान गयी थी.
10) इस फिल्म में जैकी श्रॉफ और अनिल कपूर की लड़ाई वाले सीन की शूटिंग में जैकी श्रॉफ ने सच में अनिल कपूर को मुक्का मार दिया था.
11) इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद बहुत लोगो ने नूतन से पूछा था की ” क्यों आपने इतना छोटा सा रोल किया इस फिल्म में ? “. नूतन ने तब जवाब दिया की उनका इस फिल्म में बड़ा रोल था. लेकिन उनके सीन्स को फिल्म से एडिट कर के हटा दिया गया था.
12) सुरेश ओबेरॉय ने एक इंटरव्यू में कहा था की प्रोडूसर गुलशन राय ने उन्हें बिना बताये ही फिल्म से हटा दिया था और उनकी जगह शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा को लिया था.
13) डैनी डेंज़ोंग्पा से पहले इस फिल्म में अमरीश पूरी को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में वे फिल्म से हट गए थे.
14) ये फिल्म जैकी श्रॉफ की डायरेक्टर राजीव राय के साथ में पहली फिल्म थी. इसके बाद दोनों ने साथ में त्रिदेव फिल्म में भी काम किया था, जो सन 1989 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
15) अरुण गोविल से पहले इस फिल्म में कुलभूषण खरबंदा को लिया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में उन्हें फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था.
