Virasat Movie Unknown Facts :
1) The film was a Hindi remake of the 1992 Tamil film Thevar Magan.
2) The title of this film was first kept Dharti and JP Dutta was the first to direct this film. But JP Dutta was already directing the border film, so he refused to direct the film.
3) Raja Thakur’s role was offered to Naseeruddin Shah before Amrish Puri. But he refused to act in the film.
4) Before Pooja Batra, Raveena Tandon was to be cast in this film. But Raveena Tandon was busy with the rest of her films, so she was not taken.
5) Before Anil Kapoor, his role was offered to Shahrukh Khan. But he refused to act in the film.
6) Anil Kapoor had gained few kilos weight for this film.
7) Pooja Batra wanted to play Tabu’s role in this film. But she was refused by the producers.
8) The shooting of this film was completed in 3 months and was ready for release in November 1996. But the producers were looking for good dates for this film, so they released the film after 6 months.
9) Before Tabu, her role was offered to Juhi Chawla. But she refused to act in the film.
10) When the film was announced, the title of the film was kept as Mukhiya. But makers didn’t like it much, and it was later changed.
विरासत फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म सन 1992 में आयी तमिल फिल्म तेवर मगन की हिंदी रीमेक थी.
2) इस फिल्म का टाइटल पहले धरती रखा गया था और इस फिल्म को पहले जे पी दत्ता डायरेक्ट करने वाले थे. लेकिन जे पी दत्ता पहले ही बॉर्डर फिल्म को डायरेक्ट कर रहे थे, इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म को डायरेक्ट करने से मना कर दिया था.
3) अमरीश पूरी से पहले राजा ठाकुर का रोल नसरुद्दीन शाह को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
4) पूजा बत्रा से पहले इस फिल्म में रवीना टंडन को लिया जाने वाला था. लेकिन रवीना टंडन अपनी बाकी फिल्मो में व्यस्त थी, इसलिए उन्हें नहीं लिया गया था.
5) अनिल कपूर से पहले उनका रोल शाहरुख़ खान को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
6) इस फिल्म के लिए अनिल कपूर ने अपने कुछ किलो वजन बढ़ाये थे.
7) पूजा बत्रा इस फिल्म में तब्बू वाला रोल करना चाहती थी. लेकिन प्रोडूसर्स ने उन्हें मना कर दिया था.
8) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग 3 महीने में ही पूरी हो गयी थी और नवंबर सन 1996 में रिलीज़ होने को तैयार थी. लेकिन प्रोडूसर्स इस फिल्म के लिए अच्छे डेट्स ढूंढ रहे थे, इसलिए उन्होंने 6 महीने बाद इस फिल्म को रिलीज़ किया था.
9) तब्बू से पहले उनका रोल जूही चावला को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
10) जब इस फिल्म की अनाउंसमेंट हुयी थी तब इस फिल्म का टाइटल मुखिया रखा गया था. लेकिन ये टाइटल मेकर्स को कुछ ख़ास पसंद नहीं आया था, और बाद में इसे बदल दिया गया था.
