1) Sanjay Dutt did a great acting in this film. For which he also received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
2) It is said that the story of this film was based on underworld gangster Chhota Rajan.
3) In 2006, the remake of this film was also made in Tamil with the title “Don Chhera”.
4) The sequel of this film also came in 2002. Whose title was Hathyaar and in this film also Sanjay Dutt was seen in the lead role. But this film could not do anything special in the box office and the film was a flop.

1) इस फिल्म में संजय दत्त ने ज़बरदस्त एक्टिंग की थी. जिसके लिए उन्हें बेस्ट एक्टर का फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड भी मिला था.
2) कहा जाता है की इस फिल्म की कहानी अंडरवर्ल्ड गैंगस्टर छोटा राजन पर आधारित थी.
3) सन 2006 में इस फिल्म का रीमेक तमिल में भी बनाया गया था जिसका टाइटल ” डॉन छेरा ” था.
4) सन 2002 में इस फिल्म का सीक्वल भी आया था. जिसका टाइटल हथ्यार था और इस फिल्म में भी संजय दत्त लीड रोल में नज़र आये थे. लेकिन ये फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस में कुछ ख़ास कमाल नहीं कर पायी थी और फिल्म फ्लॉप रही थी.
