1) This film was the first film of Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla together. After this, both of them also appeared in the film Dil Ne Jisne Apna Kaha, which was released in 2004.
2) The story of this film was based on a true story of a friend of director Bala. Bala’s friends fell madly in love with a girl and were eventually admitted to a mental asylum.
3) This film was a Hindi remake of Vikram’s film Sethu which was came in 1999.
4) At a theater in Patna, when the title song of Tere Naam was playing. Then a young boy burst the bottle of cola in his hand in excitement. His hand was bleeding and he showed the blood hand to the public sitting there. The public was quite surprised to see the boy’s insanity.

After Sunil Manchanda had rights, he replaced Sanjay Kapoor and signed Salman Khan, and the film was directed by Satish Kaushik.
9) Before Salman Khan, the role of Radhe was offered to Ajay Devgan. But he refused to act in the film.

1) ये फिल्म सलमान खान और भूमिका चावला की साथ में पहली फिल्म थी. इसके बाद दोनों दिल ने जिसे अपना कहा फिल्म में भी नज़र आये थे, जो सन 2004 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
2) इस फिल्म की कहानी डायरेक्टर बाला के दोस्त के साथ घटी सच्ची कहानी पर आधारित थी. बाला के दोस्त एक लड़की के प्यार में पागल हो गए थे और अंत में उन्हें पागलखाने में भर्ती करा दिया गया था.
3) ये फिल्म सन 1999 में आयी विक्रम की फिल्म सेतु की हिंदी रीमेक थी.
4) पटना के एक थिएटर में जब तेरे नाम का टाइटल सांग चल रहा था. तब एक जवान लड़के ने उत्साह में कोला का बोतल अपने हाथ में फोड़ दिया था. उनके हाथ से खून बहने लगा था और खून वाले हाथ को उन्होंने वहां बैठे पब्लिक को दिखाया था. पब्लिक उस लड़के का पागलपन देख कर काफी हैरान रह गयी थी.

फिर राम गोपाल वर्मा ने इ निवास को फिल्म से हटा दिया था और उन्होंने सेतु फिल्म के ओरिजिनल डायरेक्टर बाला को इस फिल्म को डायरेक्ट करने का ऑफर दिया था. लेकिन बाला ने इस फिल्म को डायरेक्ट करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर सुनील मनचंदा ने इस फिल्म के राइट्स को राम गोपाल वर्मा से अच्छे दाम देकर खरीद लिया था.
सुनील मनचंदा के पास राइट्स आने के बाद उन्होंने संजय कपूर को हटाकर सलमान खान को लिया था, और इस फिल्म को फिर सतीश कौशिक ने डायरेक्ट किया था.
9) सलमान खान से पहले राधे का रोल अजय देवगन को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
