1) The voices of Jayasudha and Soundarya were dubbed in this film, both voiced were given by Rekha.
2) This film was a Hindi remake of the 1997 Tamil film Suryavamsham.
3) In this film, Abhishek Bachchan was to be first cast for the son’s role. But later the makers felt that people would not like the real life father and son in the film. That’s why they did not take Abhishek Bachchan in this film. Later the role of father and son was played by Amitabh Bachchan.
4) Permanent satellite rights of this film are brought by Sony Max. That’s why this film is often shown in Sony Max.

1) इस फिल्म में जयसुधा और सौंदर्य की आवाज़ को डब किया गया था दोनों की आवाज़ को रेखा ने दिया था.
2) ये फिल्म सन 1997 में आयी तमिल फिल्म सूर्यवंशम की हिंदी रीमेक थी.
3) इस फिल्म में पहले बेटे के रोल के लिए अभिषेक बच्चन को लिया जाने वाला था. लेकिन बाद में मेकर्स को लगा की रियल लाइफ के बाप बेटे को लोग फिल्म में पसंद नहीं करेंगे. इसलिए उन्होंने अभिषेक बच्चन को इस फिल्म में नहीं लिया था. बाद में बाप और बेटे का रोल अमिताभ बच्चन ने निभाया था.
