Slumdog Millionaire Movie Facts :
1) The Hindi title of this film was previously titled Slumdog Millionaire : Kaun Banega Crorepati. But due to some legal reason, this film was shortened to Slumdog Millionaire.
2) Prem Kumar’s role in this film was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan, as he hosted the Kaun Banega Crorepati show in 2007. But Shahrukh Khan refused to act in this film, because he said that he was not liked by anyone as the host in Kaun Banega Crorepati. Therefore, he believed that his role in this film would not be liked by the people. Then Prem Kumar’s role was played by Anil Kapoor.
3) This film was the debut film of Dev Patel and Freida Pinto. Both were couple in this film and after this film both became couple in real life too.
4) All the songs of this film were composed by AR Rahman in 20 days.
5) About 20 percent of the dialogues in this film were in Hindi with English subtitles.
6) The song Jai Ho was made for Salman Khan’s film Yuvraj. But the director of the film Subhash Ghai was not happy with the song, so he did not keep this song in the film Yuvraj. After which the same song was kept in Slumdog Millionaire.
7) AR Rahman became the first Asian to win 2 Oscar Awards for a single film.
8) Before Irrfan Khan, his role was offered to Gulshan Grover, but he refused to work in this film.
9) Director Danny Boyle had seen the film satya and company very well and repeatedly before making this film, so that he could understand mumbai better. He himself said this once in a TV interview.
10) For the Hindi version of this film, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Ankur Vikal had dubbed for their characters. While the rest of the star cast dubbing was done by the dubbing artist.
स्लमडॉग करोड़पति फिल्म से जुडी कुछ अनसुनी बातें :
1) इस फिल्म का हिंदी टाइटल पहले स्लमडॉग मिलियनेयर कौन बनेगा करोड़पति रखा गया था. लेकिन कुछ लीगल कारण के चलते इस फिल्म को छोटा करके स्लुम्दोग करोड़पति कर दिया गया.
2) इस फिल्म में प्रेम कुमार का रोल पहले शाहरुख़ खान को ऑफर हुआ था, क्योंकि उन्होंने 2007 में कौन बनेगा करोड़पति शो को होस्ट किया था. लेकिन शाहरुख़ खान ने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था, क्योंकि उनका कहना था की कौन बनेगा करोड़पति में उन्हें होस्ट के रूप में किसी ने भी पसंद नहीं किया था. इसलिए उनका मानना था की इस फिल्म में भी उनका रोल लोगो को पसंद नहीं आएगा. फिर प्रेम कुमार का रोल अनिल कपूर ने निभाया था.
3) ये फिल्म देव पटेल और फ्रीडा पिंटू के डेब्यू फिल्म थी. दोनों इस फिल्म में कपल थे और इस फिल्म के बाद दोनों रियल लाइफ में भी कपल बन गए थे.
4) इस फिल्म के सभी गानों को ए आर रहमान ने २० दिनों में कंपोज़ किया था.
5) इस फिल्म में लगभग 20 प्रतिशत डॉयलोग्स हिंदी में थे और साथ में इंग्लिश सबटाइटल्स भी थे.
6) जय हो वाले गाने को सलमान खान के फिल्म युवराज के लिए बनाया गया था. लेकिन फिल्म के डायरेक्टर सुभाष घई गाने से खुश नहीं थे इसलिए उन्होंने युवराज फिल्म में इस गाने को नहीं रखा था. जिसके बाद उसी गाने को स्लमडॉग करोड़पति में रखा गया था.
7) ए आर रहमान पहले ऐसे एशियाई बने थे जिन्होंने 2 ऑस्कर अवार्ड्स एक ही फिल्म के लिए जीता था.
8) इरफ़ान खान से पहले उनका रोल गुलशन ग्रोवर को ऑफर हुआ था पर उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
9) डायरेक्टर डैनी बॉयल ने इस फिल्म को बनाने से पहले सत्या और कंपनी फिल्म को अच्छे से और बार बार देखा था, ताकि मुंबई को अच्छे से समझ सके. ये बात उन्होंने खुद एक बार टीवी इंटरव्यू में बताया था.
10) इस फिल्म के हिंदी वर्शन के लिए अनिल कपूर, इरफ़ान खान और अंकुर विकल ने अपने करैक्टर की डबिंग खुद की थी. जबकि बाकी स्टार कास्ट की डबिंग को डबिंग आर्टिस्ट ने की थी.
