Shaan Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Ramesh Sippy wanted to repeat the starcast of Sholay in this film. But due to the problem of dates, Dharmendra, Hema Malini and Sanjeev Kumar refused to work in this film. After which Bindiya Goswami played the role of Hema Malini, Sunil Dutt played the role of Sanjeev Kumar and Shashi Kapoor played the role of Dharmendra.
2) A huge set of glasses was made for this film in Goregaon’s Film City. Whose cost at that time was Rs.8 lakhs.
3) Parveen Babi was a victim of depression during the shooting of this film. She had a stroke for the first time during the shooting of the song ‘Pyaar Karne Wale’, after which she went to America for treatment. After coming from America, she started shooting again.
4) The island of Shakal was shown in this film. The name of that island is Steep Holm and this island is located in the Bristol Channel.
5) Shatrughan Sinha’s father died during the shooting of this film.
6) After completing 25 years of this film, Ramesh Sippy re-released this film in April 2005.
7) This film was Ramesh Sippy’s second film after Sholay. In which the character of the villain was more powerful than the character of the hero.

शान फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) रमेश सिप्पी इस फिल्म में शोले के स्टारकास्ट को दोहराना चाहते थे. लेकिन डेट्स की प्रॉब्लम के चलते धर्मेंद्र, हेमा मालिनी और संजीव कुमार ने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. जिसके बाद हेमा मालिनी का रोल बिंदिया गोस्वामी ने निभाया था तो संजीव कुमार का रोल सुनील दत्त ने निभाया था और धर्मेंद्र का रोल शशि कपूर ने निभाया था.
2) गोरेगाव के फिल्मसिटी में इस फिल्म के लिए ग्लास का विशाल सेट बनाया गया था. जिसका लागत उस समय 8 लाख रूपये का था.
3) इस फिल्म के शूटिंग के दौरान ही परवीन बाबी डिप्रेशन का शिकार हुयी थी. ‘ प्यार करने वाले ‘ गाने की शूटिंग के दौरान ही उन्हें पहली बार दौरा पड़ा था, जिसके बाद वे इलाज़ के लिए अमेरिका गयी थी. अमेरिका से ट्रीटमेंट करा के आने के बाद उन्होंने शूटिंग दोबारा शुरू की थी.
4) इस फिल्म में शकाल का जो आइलैंड दिखाया गया था. उस आइलैंड का नाम स्टीप होल्म है और ये आइलैंड ब्रिस्टल चैनल में स्तिथ है.
5) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा के पिता की मौत हो गयी थी.
6) इस फिल्म के 25 साल पूरे होने के बाद रमेश सिप्पी ने अप्रैल सन 2005 में इस फिल्म को री रिलीज़ किया गया था.
