1) The story of this film was inspired by the 1954 Hollywood film “Seven Brides for Seven Sons”.
2) Hema Malini was pregnant during the shooting of this film. She covered her belly with a shawl so that her baby bump was not visible in the song “Pariyon Ka Mela Hai”.
3) Before Hema Malini, her role was offered to Rekha . But Amitabh Bachchan refused to work with Rekha. That’s why she was not cast in the film.
4) Before Kanwaljit Singh, his role was offered to Mithun Chakraborty. But he refused to work in this film.
5) This film was the first and only film of Ranjeeta Kaur and Amitabh Bachchan together.
6) In 2008, Sachin Pilgaonkar remade this film in Marathi, which was titled “Aamhi Satpute”.
7) In 1982, Amitabh Bachchan played a double role in three films. Apart from this film, he also played a double role in the film Bemisaal and Desh Premee.

1) इस फिल्म की कहानी सन 1954 में आयी हॉलीवुड फिल्म ” सेवन ब्राइड्स फॉर सेवन संस ” से प्रेरित थी.
2) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान हेमा मालिनी प्रेग्नेंट थी. ” परियों का मेला हैं ” गाने में उन्होंने अपने पेट को शॉल से ढका था ताकि उनका बेबी बम्प दिखाई न दे.
3) हेमा मालिनी से पहले उनका रोल रेखा को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन अमिताभ बच्चन ने रेखा के साथ काम करने से मना कर दिया था. इसलिए उन्हें फिल्म में नहीं लिया गया था.
4) कंवलजीत सिंह से पहले उनका रोल मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
5) ये फिल्म रंजीता कौर और अमिताभ बच्चन की साथ में पहली और एकमात्र फिल्म थी.
6) सन 2008 में सचिन पिलगाओंकर ने इस फिल्म का मराठी में रीमेक बनाया था जिसका टाइटल ” आम्ही सातपुते ” था.
