Roti Kapada Aur Makaan Movie Unknown Facts :
1) The remake of this film was also made later in 1986. The title of which was kept Jeevna portam and Rajinikanth was seen in this film.
2) Before Zeenat Aman, her role was offered to Sharmila Tagore. But Sharmila Tagore liked the Moushami Chatterjee role and wanted to play the same role. But Manoj Kumar did not agree and replaced Sharmila Tagore with Zeenat Aman.
3) In this film, Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a college student for the first time.
4) The song “Haye Haye Majburi” was first to be shot on Moushumi Chatterjee. But then she was pregnant so this song was then filmed on Zeenat Aman.
5) This film was Ajay Devgan’s father Veeru Devgan’s debut as an action director.
6) For the role of Shashi Kapoor, Manoj Kumar first wanted Navin Nischol. But he refused to act in the film.

रोटी कपड़ा और मकान फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में सन 1986 में भी बनाया गया था. जिसका टाइटल जीवना पोरटम रखा गया था और इस फिल्म में रजिनीकान्त नज़र आये थे.
2) ज़ीनत अमान से पहले उनका रोल शर्मीला टैगोर को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन शर्मीला टैगोर को मौसमी चटर्जी वाला रोल पसंद आया था और वे वही रोल निभाना चाहती थी. लेकिन मनोज कुमार नहीं माने थे और उन्होंने शर्मीला टैगोर की जगह फिर ज़ीनत अमान को लिया था.
3) इस फिल्म में पहली बार अमिताभ बच्चन ने कॉलेज स्टूडेंट का रोल निभाया था.
4) ” हाय हाय मजबूरी ” वाले गाने को पहले मौसमी चटर्जी पर फिल्माया जाने वाला था. लेकिन तब वे प्रेग्नेंट थी इसलिए फिर इस गाने को ज़ीनत अमान पर फिल्माया गया था.
