Raanjhanaa Movie Unknown Facts and Trivia :
1) Apart from Hindi, this film was also dubbed and released in Tamil version. In the Tamil version, the title of the film was kept as Title Ambikapathi. Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor promoted the film in Tamil version in South wearing South Indian attire.
2) Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha were initially signed for the lead roles in the film, but both opted out to do Prabhudeva’s film R Rajkumar.
3) This film was Dhanush’s debut film in Bollywood.
4) Before Swara Bhaskar, the role of Bindiya was offered to Aditi Rao Hydari but she refused to do the role.
5) The spiritual sequel of this film is “Tere Ishq Mein” which was released on 28 November 2025. Kriti Sanon and Dhanush are lead role in the film.
6) For this film, Dhanush won the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Actor in Male category and Swara Bhaskar won the Screen Award and Zee Cine Award for Best Supporting Actress.

1) ये फिल्म हिंदी के अलावा तमिल में भी डब होकर रिलीज़ हुयी थी. तमिल वर्शन में फिल्म का टाइटल अम्बिकापथी रखा गया था. धनुष और सोनम कपूर ने तमिल वर्शन का प्रमोशन साउथ में साउथ ड्रेस पहनकर किया था.
2) इस फिल्म में पहले शहीद कपूर और सोनाक्षी सिन्हा को लीड रोल के लिए साइन किया गया था. लेकिन दोनों ने प्रभुदेवा की फिल्म ” आर राजकुमार ” करने के लिए इस फिल्म से हट गए थे.
3) ये फिल्म धनुष की बॉलीवुड में डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
4) स्वरा भास्कर से पहले बिंदिया का रोल अदिति राओ हैदरी को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने ये रोल करने से मना कर दिया था.

Movie Review :
Raanjhanaa is a great film in which the songs, music, acting and dialogues all were amazing. Despite being Dhanush’s debut film, he did a great acting. Zeeshan Ayub has left a different impression in the role of Murari. The songs of the film are also superb and make you listen to them on repeat mode.
Question 1 : What is the plot of Raanjhanaa ?
Answer : In Varanasi, a Tamil Brahmin boy named Kundan falls in love with a Muslim girl living nearby at first sight. Growing up, Kundan (Dhanush) falls in intense love with Zoya (Sonam Kapoor). Kundan has a close friend named Murari (Zeeshan Ayub) and his female friend Bindiya (Swara Bhaskar). However, Bindiya loves Kundan. Zoya’s family sends her to study in different state when she was teenager, where she falls in love with Jasjeet Singh (Abhay Deol). The film depicts Kundan’s mad love for Zoya and the film’s tragic climax touches everyone’s heart.
Question 2 : Why is the AI-generated happy ending controversial ?
Answer : The Tamil version of Raanjhanaa, Ambikapathy was re-released in August 2025. But the climax of the film was changed from a sad ending to a happy ending by AI, Dhanush and other actors expressed their displeasure over this AI climax.
