1) In this film, Saif Ali Khan appears in the train in Kasto Mazza song. In the same train, her mother Sharmila Tagore also appeared in the 1968 film Aaradhana.
2) Before Vidya Balan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to cast Aishwarya Rai or Rani Mukherjee in this film. But after Vidya Balan’s look testing, she was more perfect to play Lalita’s role in this film.
3) Vidhu Vinod Chopra first wanted Aamir Khan to play Girish Sharma in this film. But he refused to work in this film. Then later Sanjay Dutt was taken.

परिणीता फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में कस्तो मज़्ज़ा वाले गाने में सैफ अली खान जिस ट्रैन में नज़र आते हैं. उसी ट्रैन में उनकी माँ शर्मीला टैगोर भी सन 1968 में आयी फिल्म आराधना में नज़र आयी थी.
2) विद्या बालन से पहले विधु विनोद चोपड़ा इस फिल्म में ऐश्वर्या राय या रानी मुखर्जी को लेना चाहते थे. लेकिन विद्या बालन की लुक टेस्टिंग के बाद उन्हें विद्या बालन ही ललिता के रोल में ज्यादा सही लगी थी.
3) विधु विनोद चोपड़ा इस फिल्म में गिरीश शर्मा के रोल के लिए पहले आमिर खान को लेना चाहते थे. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर बाद में संजय दत्त को लिया गया था.
