1) In this film, Akshay Kumar worked with Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar for the first time.
2) Manoj Kumar played the role of Master Dinanath in this film and this film was his last film. After this film, he took retirement from films.
3) The director of this film, K.C. Bokadia, fraudulently signed Vaishnavi Mahant into the film. He told Vaisnavi that Vivek Mushran will be signed in your opposite. But later he did not sign any other actor in this film. When Vaishnavi Mahant came to know that her opposite no hero in this film, she was very angry. He told the same thing in many of her interviews.
4) Mukesh Khanna and Vaishnavi Mahant appeared in this film for the first time. But no one knew Vaishnavi Mahant at that time. She then played the role of Geeta Vishwas in the show Shaktimaan and from that time she started knowing by everyone.
5) Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar appeared together after 33 years in this film. The last time they worked together was in the 1962 film Shaadi. Although both actors were in the film Mera Naam Joker, but they had no scene together and both had cameo roles.

मैदान ए जंग फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें :
1) इस फिल्म में अक्षय कुमार ने पहली बार धर्मेंद्र और मनोज कुमार के साथ काम किया था.
2) इस फिल्म में मनोज कुमार ने मास्टर दीनानाथ का रोल निभाया था और ये फिल्म उनकी आखरी फिल्म थी. इस फिल्म के बाद उन्होंने फिल्मो से रिटायरमेंट ले लिया था.
3) इस फिल्म के डायरेक्टर के सी बोकाडिया ने वैशनवी महंत को धोखे से इस फिल्म में साइन किया था. उन्होंने वैशनवी से कहा था की तुम्हारे अपोजिट में विवेक मुश्रान को साइन किया जायेगा. लेकिन बाद में उन्होंने इस फिल्म में और कोई दूसरा एक्टर को साइन नहीं किया था. जब वैशनवी महंत को ये बात पता चली थी की इस फिल्म में उनके अपोजिट कोई हीरो नहीं है तो वे बहुत गुस्सा हुयी थी. अपने कई इंटरव्यू में उन्होंने यही बात बताई थी.
4) इस फिल्म में पहली बार मुकेश खन्ना और वैशनवी महंत साथ नज़र आये थे. लेकिन तब वैशनवी महंत को कोई नहीं जानता था. फिर शक्तिमान शो में उन्होंने गीता विश्वास का रोल निभाया था और वहीँ से उन्हें बच्चा बच्चा जानने लगा था.
5) इस फिल्म में धर्मेंद्र और मनोज कुमार 33 साल बाद साथ नज़र आये थे. आखरी बार उन्होंने साथ में 1962 में आयी फिल्म शादी में काम किया था. हालाँकि मेरा नाम जोकर फिल्म में दोनों एक्टर्स तो थे पर साथ में उनका कोई सीन नहीं था और दोनों का ही कैमियो रोल था.
6) इस फिल्म में करिश्मा कपूर ने धर्मेंद्र की बहन का रोल निभाया था. जबकि रियल लाइफ में करिश्मा कपूर, धर्मेंद्र के बेटे सन्नी देओल और बॉबी देओल दोनों से भी छोटी है.
7) इस फिल्म की प्रोडक्शन सन 1992 से शुरू हुयी थी. तब इस फिल्म में अक्षय कुमार की जगह अजय देवगन को साइन किया गया था और उन्होंने इस फिल्म के कुछ सीन्स की शूटिंग भी की थी. पर फिल्म के डिले होते रहने के कारण अजय देवगन की डेट्स प्रॉब्लम बढ़ने लगी थी, इसलिए उन्होंने ये फिल्म ही छोड़ दिया था.
