Madhumati Movie Facts :
1) This film was the second film made on reincarnation. Earlier, the film Mahal was also based on the reincarnation which was released in 1949.
2) Director and producer Bimal Roy was going through an financial problem while making this film. Then Dilip Kumar helped him and he himself arranged for special screening with his own money.
3) Madhumati was the first film to win a total of 9 awards at the Filmfare Awards and a huge record was made and no film was broken records for 37 years.
Then in 1996, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge broke Madhumati’s record for years by winning 10 Filmfare Awards.
4) The climax of this film was also copied by Farah Khan in her film Om Shanti Om which was released in the year 2007.
5) After the film Madhumati, Hollywood also started making films on the reincarnation.
मधुमती फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म पुर्नजन्म पर बनी दूसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले महल फिल्म भी पुर्नजन्म पर आधारित थी जो 1949 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
2) इस फिल्म को बनाते हुए डायरेक्टर और प्रोडूसर बिमल रॉय आर्थिक स्थिति से गुज़र रहे थे. तब दिलीप कुमार ने उनकी मदद की थी और खुद ही उन्होंने अपने पैसों से स्पेशल स्क्रीनिंग का इंतज़ाम करवाया था.
3) मधुमती पहली ऐसी फिल्म थी जिसने फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड्स में कुल 9 अवार्ड्स जीते थे और एक बड़ा रिकॉर्ड बनाया गया था और ये रिकॉर्ड 37 साल तक कोई भी फिल्म नहीं तोड़ पायी थी.
फिर 1996 में दिलवाले दुल्हनिया ले जायेंगे ने 10 फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड्स जीत कर मधुमती का सालों लम्बा रिकॉर्ड तोडा था.
4) इस फिल्म की क्लाइमेक्स की कॉपी फराह खान ने अपनी फिल्म ओम शांति ओम में भी किया था जो सन 2007 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
5) मधुमती फिल्म के बाद हॉलीवुड वालों ने भी पुर्नजन्म पर फिल्म बनाना शुरू किया था.
