Lajja Movie Unknown Facts :
1) In this film, the role of Mahima Chaudhary was first offered to Tabu. But Rajkumar Santoshi was paying him less fees than his market price, so she refused to work in this film.
2) Before Ajay Devgan, his role was offered to Sunny Deol. But Anil Kapoor was also in this film, so he refused to work in this film.
3) In this film, Namrata Shirodkar was offered to do an item number in the song “Mujhe Saajan Ke Ghar Jaane Hai”. But she refused to perform the item song. Sonali Bendre then did an item number in this song.
4) Before Rekha, her role was offered to Hema Malini . But she refused to act in the film.
5) Aishwarya Rai was also to appear first in this film. But this film had already had many characters and the film was also long. Hence, Aishwarya Rai asked Rajkumar Santoshi to remove her role from the film, and then later Rajkumar Santoshi removed her from the film.

लज्जा फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में महिमा चौधरी वाला रोल पहले तब्बू को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन राजकुमार संतोषी उन्हें उनकी मार्किट प्राइस से कम फीस दे रहे थे, इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
2) अजय देवगन से पहले उनका रोल सनी देओल को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन इस फिल्म में अनिल कपूर भी थे इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
3) इस फिल्म में नम्रता शिरोडकर को ” मुझे साजन के घर जाना है ” वाले गाने में आइटम नंबर करने का ऑफर हुआ थे. लेकिन उन्होंने आइटम सांग करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर उनकी जगह सोनाली बेंद्रे ने इस गाने में आइटम नंबर किया था.
4) रेखा से पहले उनका रोल हेमा मालिनी को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
