1) This film was clash with Sholay film and both films proved to be an all-time blockbuster at the box office.
2) Anita Guha played Santoshi Mata in this film. She played the role of God in many devotional films.
3) After the success of this film, people used to put a long line outside the house of Anita Guha to see her . If Anita Guha could be seen anywhere, people would touch her feet and take her blessings.
4) Due to the low theater at that time, people used to reach to see this film from far away and also put a long line to watch the film.
5) Wherever this film was released in the theater. People used to distribute prasad there. People used to take off their shoes and slippers before going inside the theater.
6) Santoshi Maa was very popular among the people since this film.
7) A remake of this film was made in 2006 with the same title. But the film flopped badly at the box office.

1) ये फिल्म शोले फिल्म के साथ क्लैश हुयी थी और दोनों ही फिल्मे बॉक्स ऑफिस में आल टाइम ब्लॉकबस्टर साबित हुयी थी.
2) इस फिल्म में संतोषी माता का रोल अनीता गुहा ने निभाया था. उन्होंने और भी बहुत से डिवोशनल फिल्मो में भगवान का रोल निभाया था.
3) इस फिल्म की सफलता के बाद लोग अनीता गुहा के घर के बहार उन्हें देखने के लिए लम्बी लाइन लगाते थे. अनीता गुहा अगर कहीं भी दिख जाती थी तो लोग उनके पैर छू कर आशीर्वाद लेते थे.
4) उस समय कम थिएटर होने के कारण लोग दूर दूर से इस फिल्म को देखने पहुँचते थे और फिल्म देखने के लिए लम्बी लाइन भी लगाते थे.
5) जहाँ जहाँ ये फिल्म थिएटर में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. वहाँ वहाँ लोग प्रसाद बांटा करते थे. लोग थिएटर के अंदर जाने से पहले अपने जूते चप्पल भी उतार कर अंदर जाया करते थे.
6) इस फिल्म के बाद से ही संतोषी माँ लोगो के बीच काफी पॉपुलर हुयी थी.
7) सन 2006 में इसी टाइटल से इस फिल्म का रीमेक बनाया गया था. लेकिन ये फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस में बुरी तरह से फ्लॉप रही थी.
