1) Robby Coltrane was the first person to be cast in this film.
2) The tabby cat shown in this film ran away during the shooting and then came back two days later.
3) At that time, this film became the second highest grossing film in the worldwide after Titanic.
4) The film was Emaa Watson’s debut film and Daniel Radcliffe’s second film. Prior to this, Daniel had worked in the film The Tailor of Panama which was also released in 2001.
5) Daniel Radcliffe once said in interview that he never thought he would play Harry in all of Harry Potter’s parts, as he believed that aging would not fit Harry’s role. Although, he still acted in all eight films.
6) In this film, Hermione does not fly in the broom to catch the flying key. While in the book, Hermione also flies from Broom with Harry and Ron to catch the flying key.
7) By June 2002, more than 10 million DVDs were sold for this film.

1) इस फिल्म में सबसे पहले रोबी कोल्ट्रेन को कास्ट किया गया था.
2) इस फिल्म में जो टैब्बी कैट दिखाया गया था, वो कैट शूटिंग के दौरान कहीं भाग गयी थी और फिर दो दिन बाद वापस आयी थी.
3) ये फिल्म उस समय वर्ल्डवाइड में टाइटैनिक के बाद दूसरी सबसे ज्यादा कमाने वाली फिल्म बनी थी.
4) ये फिल्म एमा वत्सों की डेब्यू फिल्म थी तो डेनियल रैडक्लिफ की दूसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले डेनियल ने द टेलर ऑफ़ पनामा फिल्म में काम किया था जो सन 2001 को ही रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
5) डैनियल रैडक्लिफ ने एक बार इंटरव्यू में कहा थी कि उन्होंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि वे हैरी पॉटर के सभी पार्ट्स में हैरी का रोल निभाएंगे, क्योंकि उनका मानना था कि उम्र बढ़ने से वे हैरी के रोल में फिट नहीं होंगे। हालांकि, फिर भी उन्होंने सभी आठ फिल्मों में काम किया था.
