Ghayal Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This film was clash with Aamir Khan’s film Dil and it was the first clash between them. After this, both of their films also collided in the year 1996 and 2001. In 1996, there was a clash of Sunny Deol’s film Ghatak and Aamir Khan’s film Raja Hindustani. So in 2001, there was a clash of Sunny Deol’s film Gadar and Aamir Khan’s film Lagaan.
2) Rajkumar Santoshi wrote the story of this film keeping Kamal Haasan in mind. But then he did not get any producer. When Rajkumar Santoshi took the story of this film to Dharmendra. Dharmendra then placed a condition that Sunny Deol would be in this film and Rajkumar Santoshi agreed.
3) The sequel of this film was released after 26 years in 2016. The title of which was kept Ghayal Once Again and this film was directed by Sunny Deol himself.
4) Before Dharmendra, this film was first to be produced by Subba Rao. But he had placed a condition that Sanjay Dutt should be taken in this film. But then Sanjay Dutt did not have dates so he refused to work in this film.
5) Muharat Clap of this film was given by Dharmendra and then Sunny Deol’s mother was also present there.
6) Before Sudesh Berry, his role was first to be played by K.K Raina. But he was later removed from the film for some reason.
7) Sunny Deol wanted to take Dimple Kapadia in this film. But Dharmendra refused.
8) This film was Rajkumar Santoshi’s debut film as a director and writer.
9) After this film, there was a fight between the Deol family and Moushami Chatterjee. It is said that Moushmi Chatterjee was not cooperating properly during the shooting of the film. Due to which there was a debate between Deols and Moushmi Chatterjee. It is also said that Deols did not invite Moushami Chatterjee to the success party of ghayal. After which Moushami Chatterjee showed displeasure towards Deols in the media.
10) Sunny Deol also approached Sridevi for this film. But she refused because of no dates. Then finally Meenakshi Seshadri was taken.
11) The remake of this film was later made in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada as well. The title of the Tamil remake was Bharathan. So the title of the Telugu remake was Gamyam and the title of Kannada remake was Viswa.
12) When Rajkumar Santoshi did not find any producer. Then he offered this film to Mithun Chakraborty. Mithun agreed to work in this film. But when this film was reached to Dharmendra, then Dharmendra requested Mithun to withdraw from this film. Mithun and Dharmendra were very good friends then. Hence Mithun left the film for the sake of friendship.
13) In this film, Ashok’s body is thrown in the middle of road and Sunny Deol weeps and shouts loudly. The same type of scene was also in the movie Mashaal. When Dilip Kumar’s wife keeps dying and Dilip Kumar shouts for help on the road.
14) Sudesh Berry was very sad after the release of this film. Because Rajkumar Santoshi told him that he will have a big role in the film. But Rajkumar Santoshi removed many of his scenes from the film. Sudesh Berry showed his displeasure to Rajkumar Santoshi in front of the media.
घायल फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म आमिर खान की फिल्म दिल के साथ क्लैश हुयी थी और ये क्लैश दोनों की पहली क्लैश थी. इसके बाद दोनों की फिल्मे सन 1996 और सन 2001 में भी टकराई थी. सन 1996 में सनी देओल की फिल्म घातक और आमिर खान की फिल्म राजा हिंदुस्तानी का क्लैश हुआ था. तो सन 2001 में सनी देओल की फिल्म ग़दर और आमिर खान की फिल्म लगान का क्लैश हुआ था.
2) राजकुमार संतोषी ने इस फिल्म के कहानी कमल हासन को माइंड में रखकर लिखा था. लेकिन तब उनको कोई भी प्रोडूसर नहीं मिला था. जब राजकुमार संतोषी इस फिल्म की कहानी को धर्मेंद्र के पास लेकर गए. तब धर्मेंद्र ने एक शर्त रखी थी की इस फिल्म में सनी देओल होंगे और राजकुमार संतोषी मान गए थे.
3) इस फिल्म का सीक्वल 26 साल बाद सन 2016 में रिलीज़ हुआ था. जिसका टाइटल घायल वन्स अगेन रखा गया था और इस फिल्म को खुद सनी देओल ने ही डायरेक्ट किया था.
4) धर्मेंद्र से पहले इस फिल्म को सुब्बा राओ प्रोडूस करने वाले. लेकिन उन्होंने एक शर्त रखी थी की इस फिल्म में संजय दत्त को लिया जाए. लेकिन तब संजय दत्त के पास डेट्स नहीं थे इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
5) इस फिल्म के मुहर्त क्लैप को धर्मेंद्र ने दिया था और तब वहां सनी देओल की माँ भी मौजूद थी.
6) सुदेश बेरी से पहले उनका रोल के के रैना करने वाले थे. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में उन्हें फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था.
7) सनी देओल इस फिल्म में डिंपल कपाड़िया को लेना चाहते थे. लेकिन धर्मेंद्र ने मना कर दिया था.
8) ये फिल्म राजकुमार संतोषी की डायरेक्टर और राइटर के रूप में डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
9) इस फिल्म के बाद देओल परिवार और मौशमी चटर्जी के बीच लड़ाई हो गयी थी. कहा जाता है की घायल की शूटिंग के दौरान मौशमी चटर्जी ठीक से कोऑपरेट नहीं कर रही थी. जिसके चलते ही देओल्स और मौशमी चटर्जी के बीच में बहस होते रहती थी. ये भी कहा जाता है की देओल्स ने सक्सेस पार्टी में मौशमी चटर्जी को नहीं बुलाया था. जिसके बाद मौशमी चटर्जी ने मीडिया में देओल्स के प्रति नाराज़गी दिखाई थी.
10) सनी देओल ने इस फिल्म के लिए श्रीदेवी को भी एप्रोच किया था. लेकिन डेट्स न होने के कारण उन्होंने मना कर दिया था. फिर अंत में मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि को लिया गया था.
11) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में तमिल, तेलुगु और कन्नड़ा में भी बनाया गया था. घायल के तमिल रीमेक का टाइटल भराथन था. तो तेलुगु रीमेक का टाइटल गम्यम था और कन्नड़ा रीमेक का टाइटल विस्वा था.
12) जब राजकुमार संतोषी को कोई भी प्रोडूसर नहीं मिला था. तब उन्होंने मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती को ये फिल्म का ऑफर दिया था. मिथुन इस फिल्म में काम करने के लिए राज़ी हो गए थे. लेकिन जब ये फिल्म धर्मेंद्र का पास पहुंचा तो धर्मेंद्र ने मिथुन से रिक्वेस्ट किया की वे इस फिल्म से हट जाए. तब मिथुन और धर्मेंद्र काफी अच्छे दोस्त थे. इसलिए दोस्ती की खातिर मिथुन इस फिल्म से हट गए थे.
13) इस फिल्म में अशोक की बॉडी को बीच सड़क में फेंक दिया जाता है और सनी देओल ज़ोर ज़ोर से रोते और चिल्लाते हैं. ऐसा ही सेम टाइप का सीन मशाल फिल्म में भी था. जब दिलीप कुमार की पत्नी मरते रहती है और दिलीप कुमार सड़क पर मदद के लिए चिल्लाते रहते हैं.
14) इस फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद सुदेश बेरी बहुत उदास हुए थे. क्योंकि राजकुमार संतोषी ने उनसे कहा था की फिल्म में उनका बड़ा रोल होगा. लेकिन राजकुमार संतोषी ने उनके बहुत से सीन्स को फिल्म से हटा दिए थे. सुदेश बेरी ने मीडिया के सामने राजकुमार संतोषी के प्रति अपनी नाराज़गी दिखाई थी.
