Border Movie Unknown Facts :
1) The story of this film was based on the Real war of Battle of Longewala which took place during the Indo Pak War in 1971.
2) Indian Army officer Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri played the most important role in the Battle of Longewala. Due to which he was awarded by the Maha Vir Chakra. Sunny Deol played the role of Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri in the film Border.
3) JP Dutta’s brother was a pilot in the Indian Air Force and died in a 1987 MIG crash. This film was made by JP Dutta to dedicate him.
4) The shooting of this film was done in Bikaner at the same place where the Battle of Longewala took place in 1971. Real tanks, army jeeps and real’s guns were used in this film. Real soldiers were also shown in this film.
5) Before Akshaye Khanna, his role was offered to Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan. But due to being a multistarrer film, everyone had refused to work in this film.
6) In this film Sunny Deol was seen as Sardar for the first time. After this he played the role of Sardar in Gadar, Jo Bole So Nihal and Singh Saab the Great.
7) Sanjay Dutt was signed in this film before Jackie Shroff. But he had to go to jail again in the Bombay bomb blast case. That’s why Jackie Shroff was taken in place of sanjay dutt.
8) Aasif Sheikh was also signed in this film. But for some reason Sudesh Berry was signed later after removing him.
9) When Sunil Shetty was first offered the role of Bhairon Singh, he refused to act in this film. After that this role was offered to Sanjay Kapoor and Armaan Kohli. But both had refused to work in this film. Then Sunil Shetty was offered this role for the second time, then he had said yes to work in this film.
10) This film was Sunny Deol’s last film with director JP Dutta. Earlier Sunny Deol had worked in JP Dutta’s Yateem and Kshatriya films.
11) In 2013, JP Dutta announced the sequel of this film. But till now the sequel of this film has not been made.
12) This film was the debut film of Sharbani Mukherjee, who played Sunil Shetty’s wife in this film.
13) Before Tabu, her role was offered to Juhi Chawla. But due to being a small role, she refused to work in this film. Then Manisha Koirala was signed in this film. But later she left this film because she had a small role in the film.
14) This film was Akshaye Khanna’s second film, his debut film was Himalaya Putra which was released two months before this film.
15) The entire theater caught fire due to a short circuit during the first day first show of Border at Uphaar cinema theater in South Delhi, due to which some people also lost their lives.
16) Before Puneet Issar, his role was offered to Pradeep Singh Rawat but due to some reason he refused to work in this film.
बॉर्डर फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म की कहानी रियल में बैटल ऑफ़ लोंगेवाला पर आधारित थो जो सन 1971 में इंडो पाक वॉर के दौरान हुयी थी.
2) इंडियन आर्मी अफसर कुलदीप सिंह चंदपुरी ने बैटल ऑफ़ लोंगेवाला में सबसे अहम् भूमिका निभाई थी. जिसके कारण उन्हें महा वीर चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया था. बॉर्डर फिल्म में कुलदीप सिंह चंदपुरी का रोल सनी देओल ने निभाया था.
3) जे पी दत्ता के भाई इंडियन एयर फाॅर्स में पायलट थे और सन 1987 में मिग के क्रैश होने से उनकी मौत हो गयी थी. इस फिल्म को जे पी दत्ता ने उन्हें को डेडिकेट करने के लिए बनाया था.
4) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग को बीकानेर में उसी जगह किया गया था जहाँ सन 1971 में बैटल ऑफ़ लोंगेवाला हुयी थी. इस फिल्म में असली के टैंक्स, आर्मी जीप और असली के बन्दूक इस्तमाल किये गए थे. इस फिल्म में असली के फौजी भी दिखाए गए थे.
5) अक्षय खन्ना से पहले उनका रोल सलमान खान, अक्षय कुमार और अजय देवगन को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन मल्टिस्टार्रर फिल्म होने के कारण सभी ने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
6) इस फिल्म में सनी देओल पहली बार सरदार बने हुए नज़र आये थे. इसके बाद उन्होंने ग़दर, जो बोले सो निहाल और सिंह साब द ग्रेट फिल्म में सरदार का रोल निभाया था.
7) जैकी श्रॉफ से पहले इस फिल्म में संजय दत्त को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन उन्हें बॉम्बे बम ब्लास्ट केस में फिर से जेल जाना पड़ा था. इसलिए उन्हें हटाकर जैकी श्रॉफ को लिया गया था.
8) इस फिल्म में आसिफ शेख को भी साइन किया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में उन्हें हटाकर सुदेश बेरी को साइन किया गया था.
9) जब सुनील शेट्टी को पहली बार भैरों सिंह का रोल ऑफर हुआ था तब उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. उसके बाद ये रोल संजय कपूर और अरमान कोहली को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन दोनों ने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर सुनील शेट्टी को दूसरी बार ये रोल ऑफर किया गया था तब उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने के लिए हाँ कर दिया था.
10) ये फिल्म सनी देओल की डायरेक्टर जे पी दत्ता के साथ में आखरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले सनी देओल ने जे पी दत्ता की यतीम और क्षत्रिय फिल्म में काम किया था.
11) सन 2013 में जे पी दत्ता ने इस फिल्म के सीक्वल का अनाउंसमेंट किया था. लेकिन अब तक इस फिल्म का सीक्वल नहीं बना है.
12) इस फिल्म में सुनील शेट्टी की पत्नी का रोल निभाने वाली शरबानी मुख़र्जी की ये डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
13) तब्बू से पहले उनका रोल जूही चावला को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन छोटा सा रोल होने के कारण उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर इस फिल्म में मनीषा कोइराला को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन बाद में वे इस फिल्म से हट गयी थी क्योंकि उनका फिल्म में छोटा सा रोल था.
14) ये फिल्म अक्षय खन्ना की दूसरी फिल्म थी उनकी डेब्यू फिल्म हिमालय पुत्र थी जो इस फिल्म से दो महीने पहले रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
15) साउथ दिल्ली के उपहार सिनेमा के थिएटर में बॉर्डर के फर्स्ट डे फर्स्ट शो के दौरान शार्ट सर्किट होने से पूरे थिएटर में आग लग गयी थी जिसके कारण कुछ लोगो की जान भी गयी थी.
16) पुनीत इस्सर से पहले उनका रोल प्रदीप सिंह रावत को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
