1) This film was a Hindi remake of the 1987 Tamil film Enga Chinna Rasa.
2) The music of the song “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” from this film was copied from the song Abbani Tiyani from the 1990 Telugu film “Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari”.
3) In this film, Adi Irani played the role of Aruna Irani’s son. Whereas in real life he is the brother of Aruna Irani.
4) Kader Khan was signed in this film before Anupam Kher. But due to some reason he later left this film.
5) This film was launched before the film Dil. But the film got delayed due to financial problems. Due to which the film Dil was released before the film Beta.
6) Before Aruna Irani, her role was offered to Waheeda Rehman, Sharmila Tagore and Mala Sinha. But everyone refused to work in this film because this role was too negative.
7) The title of this film was earlier to be kept as “Badi Bahu”. But due to some reason later it was changed to Beta.

बेटा फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म सन 1987 में आयी तमिल फिल्म ” इंगा चिन्ना रसा ” की हिंदी रीमेक थी.
2) इस फिल्म का ” धक धक करने लगा ” गाने के म्यूजिक को सन 1990 में आयी तेलुगु फिल्म ” जगदेका वीरूडू अतिलोका सुंदरी ” के अब्बानी तीयानी गाने से कॉपी किया गया था.
3) इस फिल्म में आदि ईरानी ने अरुणा ईरानी के बेटे का रोल निभाया था. जबकि रियल लाइफ में वे अरुणा ईरानी के भाई हैं.
4) अनुपम खेर से पहले इस फिल्म में कादर खान को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में वे इस फिल्म से हट गए थे.
5) ये फिल्म दिल फिल्म से पहले लॉन्चेड हुयी थी. लेकिन फाइनेंसियल प्रॉब्लम के चलते ये फिल्म डिले हो गयी थी. जिसके कारण दिल फिल्म बेटा फिल्म से पहले रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
