1) This film was the debut film of Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal.
2) The voice of Rahul Roy was dubbed in this film. His voice was given by Aditya Pancholi.
3) The tape cassettes of this film’s soundtrack album were sales more than 2 crores. The film earned over one crore from audio tape cassettes. T series also stopped counting after the sales of one crore.
4) After the release of this film, Rahul Roy’s hair style started trending. Saloons also used to take more money from customers to cut Rahul Roy’s hairstyle.
5) Mahesh Bhatt once told that half of the film’s story was inspired by his and his wife Kiran Bhatt’s real-life relationship.

आशिकी फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म राहुल रॉय और अनु अग्रवाल की डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
2) इस फिल्म में राहुल रॉय की आवाज़ को डब किया गया था. उनकी आवाज़ को आदित्य पंचोली ने दिया था.
3) इस फिल्म के साउंडट्रैक एल्बम के टेप कैसेटस 2 करोड़ से भी ज्यादा बीके थे. इस फिल्म ने ऑडियो टेप कैसेटस से ही एक करोड़ से ज्यादा की कमाई की थी. एक करोड़ की सेल्स होने के बाद टी सीरीज ने भी काउंटिंग करना बंद कर दिया था.
4) ये फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद राहुल रॉय का हेयर स्टाइल ट्रेंड करने लगा था. सेलून वाले भी राहुल रॉय की हेयर स्टाइल काटने के लिए कस्टमर्स से ज्यादा पैसे लेते थे.
5) महेश भट्ट ने एक बार बताया था की इस फिल्म की आधी कहानी उनके और उनकी पत्नी किरण भट्ट की रियल लाइफ रिलेशनशिप से इंस्पायर्ड थी.
6) गुलशन कुमार इस फिल्म को एक म्यूजिक एल्बम की तरह रिलीज़ करना चाहते थे. जिसका टाइटल उन्होंने चाहत रखा था. महेश भट्ट ने इस एल्बम के गानों को सुना था और उन्होंने ही गुलशन कुमार को फिल्म बनाने का आईडिया दिया था.
7) गुलशन कुमार के बेटे भूषण कुमार ने एक बार इंटरव्यू में कहा था की ” आज तक कोई भी गानों के एल्बम ने आशिकी फिल्म के सेल्स के रिकॉर्ड को नहीं तोड़ा है और न कभी कोई तोड़ पायेगा “.
8) आशिकी फिल्म में ‘ दिल का आलम ‘ टाइटल से एक और गाना था. जिसे फिल्म में नहीं रखा गया था. लेकिन इस गाने को टेप कैसेटस में रखा गया था और ये गाना भी बहुत पॉपुलर हुआ था.
9) महेश भट्ट को लगता था की आशिकी फिल्म के एक्टर्स गुड लुकिंग नहीं है. इसलिए उन्होंने फिल्म के पोस्टर में दोनों की शक्ल को कोट से छिपा दिया था. फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने के बाद लोगो को ये कोट वाला अंदाज़ काफी पसंद आया था. आशिकी की सीक्वल आशिकी 2 में भी यही कोट वाले सीन को रखा गया था.
10) आशिकी फिल्म के साउंडट्रैक एल्बम को इंडियन हिस्ट्री की अब तक की सबसे बेस्ट और नंबर 1 साउंडट्रैक एल्बम माना जाता है.
11) महेश भट्ट एक बार राहुल रॉय की माँ इंदिरा रॉय के घर उन्हें बधाई देने गए थे. तभी महेश भट्ट ने राहुल रॉय को देखा था और देखते ही उन्होंने राहुल रॉय को अपनी फिल्म में लेने का फैसला किया था.
