1) Dimple Kapadia was signed in this film before Meenakshi Seshadri. But later she left the film due to the delay of the film.
2) The story of this film was written by Jaya Bachchan.
3) When this story went to Inder Raj Anand, he read the whole story once and after reading he changed the climax of this film and wrote a new climax.
4) Amitabh Bachchan signed this film in 1983. A few days before the shooting of the film started, Amitabh Bachchan fell ill, due to which the shooting was delayed. Amitabh Bachchan had also given dates to the rest of his films, due to which he could not even shoot for the film Shahenshah and that is why the film was delayed till 1985.
5) The costume that Amitabh Bachchan wore in this film weighed 18 kg.
6) During the shooting of this film, there was an argument between Amitabh Bachchan and director Tinnu Anand about some thing. Due to which the film was delayed for a few days. Then Inder Raj Anand made a reconciliation between Tinnu Anand and Amitabh Bachchan.

शहंशाह फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि से पहले डिंपल कपाड़िया को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन फिल्म डिले होने के कारण बाद में वे फिल्म से हट गयी थी.
2) इस फिल्म की कहानी को जया बच्चन ने लिखा था.
3) जब ये कहानी इन्दर राज आनंद के पास गयी तो उन्होंने एक बार पूरा कहानी पढ़ा और पढ़ने के बाद उन्होंने इस फिल्म के क्लाइमेक्स को बदलकर नया क्लाइमेक्स लिखा था.
4) अमिताभ बच्चन ने इस फिल्म को सन 1983 में साइन किया था. फिल्म की शूटिंग शुरू होने से कुछ दिन पहले ही अमिताभ बच्चन बीमार हो गए थे जिसके कारण शूटिंग में डिले हुयी थी. अमिताभ बच्चन ने अपनी बाकी फिल्मो को भी डेट्स दिया था जिसके कारण वे शहंशाह फिल्म की शूटिंग भी नहीं कर पाए थे और इसी कारण ये फिल्म 1985 तक डिले हुयी थी.
5) इस फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन ने जो कॉस्ट्यूम पहना था उसका वजन 18 किलो था.
6) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग के समय अमिताभ बच्चन और डायरेक्टर टिन्नू आनंद के बीच में कुछ बात को लेकर बहस हुयी थी. जिसके कारण फिल्म कुछ दिनों तक डिले हुयी थी. फिर इन्दर राज आनंद ने टिन्नू आनंद और अमिताभ बच्चन के बीच सुलह कराया था.
