Indian Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This film was a Hindi remake of the 2000 Tamil film “Vallarasu”. Both the films were directed by N Maharajan.
2) Tabu was signed in this film before Shilpa Shetty. But due to some reason she later left the film.
3) In 1997 Sunny Deol was working in a film with Indian title. In which he was going to play a double role for the first time. Aishwarya Rai was going to be seen with him in this film. The shooting of the film had also started but due to some reason the film was shelved. Later, with a new star cast, making minor changes in the script, Hindustan Ki Kasam film was made, in which Ajay Devgan and Amitabh Bachchan were seen.
4) Kamal Haasan wanted an Indian title for the Hindi dubbed version of his Tamil film Indian. But Sunny Deol was refused to give the rights of the title.
5) Mukesh Rishi played the role of Wasim Khan in both “Vallarasu” and “Indian”.
6) Jackie Shroff was also going to be seen earlier in this film, he was going to play the role of an army officer in this film. But due to some reason his role was later removed from the film.
7) This film was one of the most awaited films of 2001. Because Sunny Deol’s film Gadar was released 3 months before this film, which proved to be an all-time blockbuster at the box office.
8) Earler Dharmendra wanted to keep the title of this film as “Police”. But later he felt that “Indian” title would be more appropriate for this film.
इंडियन फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म सन 2000 में आयी तमिल फिल्म ” वल्लारसु ” की हिंदी रीमेक थी. दोनों ही फिल्मो को एन महाराजन ने डायरेक्ट किया था.
2) शिल्पा शेट्टी से पहले इस फिल्म में तब्बू को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में वे फिल्म से हट गयी थी.
3) सन 1997 में सनी देओल इंडियन टाइटल से एक फिल्म में काम कर रहे थे. जिसमे वे पहली बार डबल रोल निभाने वाले थे. इस फिल्म में उनके साथ ऐश्वर्या राय नज़र आने वाली थी. फिल्म की शूटिंग भी शुरू हो चुकी थी लेकिन कुछ कारण से ये फिल्म शेल्वेड हो गयी थी. बाद में नए स्टार कास्ट के साथ स्क्रिप्ट में थोड़े बदलाव कर के हिंदुस्तान की कसम बनायीं गयी थी जिसमे अजय देवगन और अमिताभ बच्चन नज़र आये थे.
4) कमल हासन अपनी तमिल फिल्म इंडियन के हिंदी डब वर्शन के लिए इंडियन टाइटल चाहते थे. लेकिन सनी देओल से इस टाइटल के राइट्स देने से मना कर दिया था.
5) मुकेश ऋषि ने ” वल्लारसु ” और ” इंडियन ” दोनों फिल्मो में वसीम खान का रोल निभाया था.
6) इस फिल्म में पहले जैकी श्रॉफ भी नज़र आने वाले थे वे इस फिल्म में एक आर्मी अफसर का रोल निभाने वाले थे. लेकिन कुछ कारण से उनके रोल को बाद में फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था.
7) ये फिल्म सन 2001 की मोस्ट अवेटेड फिल्मो में से एक थी. क्योंकि इस फिल्म से 3 महीने पहले ही सनी देओल की फिल्म ग़दर रिलीज़ हुयी थी जो की बॉक्स ऑफिस में आल टाइम ब्लॉकबस्टर साबित हुयी थी.
8) धर्मेंद्र इस फिल्म का टाइटल पहले ” पुलिस ” रखना चाहते थे. लेकिन बाद में उन्हें लगा की ” इंडियन ” टाइटल इस फिल्म के लिए ज्यादा सही रहेगा.
