Deewaar Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Amitabh Bachchan shot Sholay and Deewar together. In the morning he used to shoot Sholay, then at night he used to shoot for Deewar.
2) The Coolie’s shirt was worn by Amitabh Bachchan in this film. That shirt was getting taller, so he folded that shirt and his style became fashionable.
3) The film ran in theaters for 100 weeks and was a Golden Jubilee hit
4) Yash Chopra first wanted to cast Rajesh Khanna for the role of Vijay Verma. But Salim Javed then had an argument with Rajesh Khanna over something. That’s why Salim Javed’s conversation with Rajesh Khanna was closed. That is why Amitabh Bachchan was cast in this film.
5) Waheeda Rehman was first signed to play Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in this film. But Yash Chopra had already signed Waheeda Rehman for the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s wife in the Kabhie Kabhie film. He was afraid that if sometime the film was released before the film Deewar, then people would not like Waheed Rehman in the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s mother in the film Deewar. That’s why Waheeda Rehman was dropped from the film, then the role of mother was offered to Vyjayanthimala. But she refused to work in this film, then in the end the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s mother was played by Nirupa Roy.
6) Neetu Singh played the role of Shashi Kapoor’s love interest in this film. While in real life she is the wife of Shashi Kapoor’s nephew Rishi Kapoor.
7) After the tremendous success of this film, Salim Javed increased his fee to 8 lakhs.
8) When Salim Javed went to Yash Chopra with the script of this film, he had demanded 1 lakh fee for this script. Then Yash Chopra started laughing. Then later when the film Zanjeer became a box office hit. After that Salim Javed had increased his fee to 3 lakhs and Yash Chopra had to pay this fee to him.
9) Amitabh Bachchan’s character in this film was inspired by Bombay’s famous smuggler Haji Mastan.

दीवार फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) अमिताभ बच्चन ने शोले और दीवार फिल्म की शूटिंग एक साथ की थी. सुबह वे शोले फिल्म की शूटिंग किया करते थे, तो रात को दीवार फिल्म की शूटिंग करते थे.
2) इस फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन ने जो कुली का शर्ट पहना था. वो शर्ट उन्हें लम्बा हो रहा था इसलिए उन्होंने वो शर्ट को मोड़ दिया था और उनका यही स्टाइल फैशन बन गया था.
3) ये फिल्म 100 हफ़्तों तक थिएटर में चली थी और गोल्डन जुबली हिट साबित हुयी थी
4) विजय वर्मा के रोल के लिए यश चोपड़ा पहले राजेश खन्ना को लेना चाहते था. लेकिन सलीम जावेद का तब राजेश खन्ना से किसी बात पर बहस हो गया था. इसलिए सलीम जावेद की राजेश खन्ना से बातचीत बंद थी. इसी वजह से इस फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन को लिया गया था.
5) इस फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन की माँ के रोल के लिए पहले वहीदा रहमान को साइन किया गया था. लेकिन यश चोपड़ा ने पहले ही कभी कभी फिल्म के लिए वहीदा रहमान को अमिताभ बच्चन की पत्नी के रोल के लिए साइन कर रखा था. उन्हें डर था की अगर कभी कभी फिल्म दीवार फिल्म से पहले रिलीज़ हो गयी तो लोग वहीद रहमान को दीवार फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन की माँ के रोल में पसंद नहीं करेंगे. इसलिए वहीदा रहमान को फिल्म से हटा दिया गया था फिर माँ का रोल वैजयंतीमाला को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था फिर अंत में अमिताभ बच्चन की माँ का रोल निरुपा रॉय ने निभाया था.
6) इस फिल्म में नीतू सिंह ने शशि कपूर के लव इंटरेस्ट का रोल निभाया था. जबकि रियल लाइफ में वे शशि कपूर के भतीजे ऋषि कपूर की पत्नी है.
7) इस फिल्म की जबरदस्त सफलता के बाद सलीम जावेद ने अपना फीस बढ़ाकर 8 लाख कर दिया था.
8) सलीम जावेद जब इस फिल्म की स्क्रिप्ट लेकर यश चोपड़ा के पास गए थे तो उन्होंने इस स्क्रिप्ट के लिए 1 लाख फीस की डिमांड की थी. तब यश चोपड़ा हसने लगे थे. फिर बाद में जब ज़ंजीर फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस हिट हुयी थी. उसके बाद सलीम जावेद ने अपनी फीस बढ़ाकर 3 लाख कर दिया था और यश चोपड़ा को उन्हें ये फीस देना भी पड़ा था.
9) इस फिल्म में अमिताभ बच्चन का करैक्टर बॉम्बे का फेमस स्मगलर हाजी मस्तान से इंस्पायर्ड था.
10) इस फिल्म के स्क्रिप्ट को प्रोडूसर गुलशन राय ने दो बार पढ़ा था और दोनों बार उनकी आँख से आंसू आ गए थे.
