Disco Dancer Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This was the first Bollywood film to collect 100 crores worldwide.
2) This film proved to be a hit in India. The film was released in the Soviet Union in 1984. Where this film had a collection of 94.28 crores. By combining all the collections, this film proved to be an all time blockbuster.
3) The remake of this film was later made in Tamil and Telugu as well. The Tamil film remake was titled Padum Vanampadi and the Telugu remake was titled Disco King.
4) Since this film, Mithun was called the Michael Jackson of India.
5) “Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja” and “I’m a Disco Dancer” both these songs became popular in Russia, China and Japan apart from India.
6) After this film, Mithun Chakraborty became very popular in Russia. The day Mithun Chakraborty was about to come to Russia. The Prime Minister’s rally was also held on the same day. Everyone went to the airport to see Mithun Chakraborty instead of the rally. Due to which the Prime Minister cancelled his rally.
7) After this film, people in the Soviet Union started knowing Mithun as Jimmy.
8) The shooting of the song “I’m a Disco Dancer” was completed in three days at Natraj Studio in Mumbai.
डिस्को डांसर फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये बॉलीवुड की पहली ऐसी फिल्म थी जिसने वर्ल्डवाइड में 100 करोड़ का कलेक्शन किया था.
2) ये फिल्म भारत में हिट साबित हुयी थी. इस फिल्म को सन 1984 में सोवियत यूनियन में रिलीज़ किया गया था. जहाँ इस फिल्म ने 94.28 करोड़ का कलेक्शन किया था. सभी कलेक्शन को मिला कर ये फिल्म आल टाइम ब्लॉकबस्टर साबित हुयी थी.
3) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में तमिल और तेलुगु में भी बनाया गया था. तमिल फिल्म के रीमेक का टाइटल पादुम वानमपादि था तो तेलुगु रीमेक का टाइटल डिस्को किंग था.
4) इस फिल्म के बाद से मिथुन को भारत का माइकल जैक्सन कहा जाने लगा था.
5) ” जिमी जिमी आजा आजा ” और ” आई एम अ डिस्को डांसर ” ये दोनों गाने भारत के अलावा रशिया, चीन और जापान में भी पॉपुलर हुए थे.
6) इस फिल्म के बाद मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती रशिया में बहुत पॉपुलर हो गए थे. जिस दिन मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती रशिया आने वाले थे. उसी दिन प्राइम मिनिस्टर की रैली भी थी. सभी लोग रैली की जगह मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती को देखने एयरपोर्ट गए थे. जिसके कारण प्राइम मिनिस्टर ने अपनी रैली कैंसिल करा दी थी.
7) इस फिल्म के बाद सोवियत यूनियन में मिथुन को लोग जिमी के नाम से भी जानने लगे थे.
8) ” आई एम अ डिस्को डांसर ” गाने की शूटिंग को मुंबई के नटराज स्टूडियो में तीन दिनों में ही पूरा किया गया था.
