Ghatak Movie Unknown Facts :
1) This film was the last film of Meenakshi Seshadri. After this she took retirement from films.
2) Rajkumar Santoshi wrote the story of this film keeping Kamal Haasan in mind. But at the behest of the distributors, he had cast Sunny Deol in this film. Because their previous film Ghayal was a blockbuster at the box office.
3) Raveena Tandon was signed in this film before Meenakshi Seshadri. Raveena Tandon also shot this film for 10 days. But due to some reason she later left the film.
4) This film took 5 years to make. Because Rajkumar Santoshi was also busy shooting for his other two films Andaz Apna Apna and Barsaat.
5) Mamta Kulkarni did an item song in the song “Koi Aaye To Le Jaye” in this film. Rajkumar Santoshi was very impressed after seeing that song and he cast Mamta Kulkarni in his film China Gate.
6) This film was the last film of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi together.
7) In this film Ganesh Acharya did a cameo in the song “Koi Aaye To Le Jaye”.
8) Sunny Deol and Mahesh Bhatt had an argument on the sets of the film ‘Gunah’. After which Sunny Deol vowed never to work with Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh Bhatt made a film Chaahat with Shahrukh Khan in the same concept of Ghatak film to compete with Sunny Deol. Both Chaahat and Ghatak were released in 1996. While the Ghatak film proved to be a super hit at the box office, Chaahat was a flop at the box office.
9) The film was later remade in Telugu as well, titled “Aapthudu”.
10) This film was the sixth film of Sunny Deol and Meenakshi Seshadri together. Earlier both had also worked together in films like Dacait, Inteqam, Joshilay, Ghayal and Kshatriya.
घातक फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) ये फिल्म मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि की आखरी फिल्म थी. इसके बाद उन्होंने फिल्मो से रिटायरमेंट ले लिया था.
2) राजकुमार संतोषी ने इस फिल्म की कहानी कमल हासन को माइंड में रखकर लिखा था. लेकिन डिस्ट्रीब्यूटर्स के कहने पर ही उन्होंने इस फिल्म में सनी देओल को लिया था. क्योंकि दोनों की पिछली फिल्म घायल बॉक्स ऑफिस में ब्लॉकबस्टर रही थी.
3) मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि से पहले इस फिल्म में रवीना टंडन को साइन किया गया था. रवीना टंडन ने इस फिल्म की शूटिंग 10 दिन की भी थी. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में वे इस फिल्म से हट गयी थी.
4) इस फिल्म को बनने में 5 साल का समय लगा था. क्योंकि राजकुमार संतोषी अपनी बाकी दो फिल्मे अंदाज़ अपना अपना और बरसात फिल्म की शूटिंग में भी बिजी थे.
5) ममता कुलकर्णी ने इस फिल्म में ” कोई आये तो ले जाए ” गाने में आइटम सांग किया था. राजकुमार संतोषी उस गाने को देख कर काफी इम्प्रेस्सेड हुए थे और उन्होंने ममता कुलकर्णी को अपनी फिल्म चाइना गेट में लिया था.
6) ये फिल्म सनी देओल और राजकुमार संतोषी की साथ में आखरी फिल्म थी.
7) इस फिल्म में गणेश आचार्य ने ” कोई आये तो ले जाए ” गाने में कैमियो किया था.
8) गुनाह फिल्म के सेट्स में सनी देओल और महेश भट्ट की किसी बात पर बहस हो गयी थी. जिसके बाद सनी देओल ने महेश भट्ट के साथ कभी काम न करने की कसम खायी थी. महेश भट्ट ने सनी देओल को टक्कर देने के लिए घातक फिल्म की सेम कांसेप्ट में शाहरुख़ खान को लेकर चाहत फिल्म बनायीं थी. चाहत और घातक फिल्म दोनों ही सन 1996 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. घातक फिल्म जहाँ बॉक्स ऑफिस में सुपरहिट साबित हुयी थी तो चाहत फिल्म बॉक्स ऑफिस में फ्लॉप रही थी.
9) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में तेलुगु में भी बनाया गया था, जिसका टाइटल ” आपथुडु ” था.
10) ये फिल्म सनी देओल और मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि की साथ में छटवी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले दोनों ने साथ में डकैत, इन्तेक़ाम, जोशीले, घायल और क्षत्रिय फिल्म में भी काम किया था
