1) This film was later remade in Telugu as well, titled Manchi Babayi.
2) There were some similarities between this film and Sholay. Like Dharmendra was in the lead role in both the films and Vinod Khanna’s name was Jabbar Singh in the film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. Whereas Amjad Khan’s name was Gabbar Singh in Sholay.

1) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में तेलुगु में भी बनाया गया था जिसका टाइटल मंची बाबई था.
2) इस फिल्म में और शोले फिल्म में कुछ समानताएं थी. जैसे दोनों फिल्मो में धर्मेंद्र लीड रोल में थे और विनोद खन्ना का नाम मेरा गांव मेरा देश फिल्म में जब्बार सिंह था. जबकि शोले फिल्म में अमज़द खान का नाम गब्बर सिंह था.
