Mashaal Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Shafi Inamdar once said that the Filmfare Committee had come to his house. On coming home, the committee offered Shafi Inamdar the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. But in return, the committee asked for money from Shafi Inamdar. But Shafi Inamdar flatly refused to give him the money. That is why the committee gave the award for Best Supporting Actor to Anil Kapoor.
2) Anil Kapoor signed Feroz Khan’s Jaanbaz and Subhash Ghai’s Meri Jung film on the same night in Mashal premiered.
3) Raja’s role was offered to Sunny Deol before Anil Kapoor. But at the behest of Dharmendra, he refused to work in this film.
4) Anil Kapoor was very well recognized by this film.
5) Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi recommended Anil Kapoor’s name to Yash Chopra.
6) The two films were signed by Anil Kapoor on the night of the premiere of Mashal film. From the films that Anil Kapoor received the signing amount. Taking that amount, he showed his girlfriend Sunita and proposed for the wedding. Then both of them got married in the same year.
7) In this film, Raja’s role was written keeping Amitabh Bachchan in mind. But Amitabh Bachchan did not like the script, so he refused to work in this film. Then after that this role was offered to Kamal Haasan. But he also refused.

9) The film was based on the 1966 Marathi play ” Ashroonchi Zhali Phule ” and was written by Vasant Kanetkar.
10) The remake of this film was made in 1986 in Malayalam. Whose title was ” Ithile Iniyum Varu ” and Mammootty appeared in the lead role in the film.
11) This film was the last film of Dilip Kumar and Waheeda Rehman together. Prior to this, the two had worked together in many films.
12) In this film, Amrish Puri played the role of Villain in Anil Kapoor’s film for the first time. After this film, he played the villain Role in many of Anil Kapoor’s films.
13) Yash Chopra once went to see a play in which Anupam Kher was there. Yash Chopra liked Anupam Kher’s acting and he called Anupam Kher to his house after the end of the play. When Anupam Kher arrived at his house, Yash Chopra told Anupam Kher that “You are very talented and I want to give you a small role in my film”. Anupam Kher was overjoyed to hear this and told Yash Chopra that I am ready to do any role in your film.
Anupam Kher was doing a struggle at that time and he also needed money. Later Yash Chopra changed his mind and told Anupam Kher that “I can’t waste money for a small role. So I can’t take you in this film but will definitely get it anyday in my film”. When Anupam Kher became well known after the Karma film, Yash Chopra signed Anupam Kher in his film Vijay.
14) A dialogue of Dilip Kumar “Hey Bhai” from this film was quite popular.
15) Once Hollywood director Robert Wise came to India because he wanted to see how Bollywood films were shot. Robert Wise was taken to the sets of the film Mashal. Then the shooting of Holi song was going on and he also enjoyed a lot by watching the shooting of that song.
16) The background music of Kaala Patthar film was used in the fight scene of this film.
17) It is said that Anil Kapoor did not charge any fees for this film.
18) In 1978, a film was being made with the Mashal title. In which Mithun Chakraborty, Rekha and Vinod Mehra were going to be seen. But the film shelved for some reason.
मशाल फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) शफी इनामदार ने एक बार कहा था की फिल्मफेयर की कमिटी उनके घर आयी थी. घर आकर कमिटी वालों ने शफी इनामदार को बेस्ट सपोर्टिंग एक्टर का फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड ऑफर किया था. लेकिन बदले में कमिटी वालो ने शफी इनामदार से पैसे मांगे थे. लेकिन शफी इनामदार ने उन्हें पैसे देने से साफ़ इंकार कर दिया था. इसलिए कमिटी वालों ने बेस्ट सपोर्टिंग एक्टर का अवार्ड अनिल कपूर को दे दिया था.
2) जिस रात को मशाल फिल्म की प्रीमियर थी उसी रात को अनिल कपूर ने फिरोज खान की जांबाज़ और सुभाष घई की मेरी जंग फिल्म साइन किया था.
3) अनिल कपूर से पहले राजा का रोल सनी देओल को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन धर्मेंद्र के कहने पर उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
4) इस फिल्म से अनिल कपूर को काफी अच्छी पहचान मिली थी.
5) जावेद अख्तर और शबाना आज़मी ने ही अनिल कपूर का नाम यश चोपड़ा को रेकमेंड किया था.
6) मशाल फिल्म की प्रीमियर की रात को अनिल कपूर ने जो दो फिल्मे साइन किया था. उन फिल्मो से जो अनिल कपूर को साइनिंग अमाउंट मिला था. उस अमाउंट को ले जाकर उन्होंने अपनी गर्लफ्रेंड सुनीता को दिखाया था और शादी के लिए प्रोपोज़ किया था. फिर दोनों ने उसी साल ही शादी भी कर ली थी.
7) इस फिल्म में राजा के रोल को अमिताभ बच्चन को माइंड में रख कर लिखा गया था. लेकिन अमिताभ बच्चन को स्क्रिप्ट पसंद नहीं आयी थी इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था. फिर उसके बाद ये रोल कमल हासन को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने भी मना कर दिया था.
8) इस फिल्म के लिए अनिल कपूर को पहले बार बेस्ट सपोर्टिंग एक्टर का फिल्मफेयर अवार्ड मिला था. इस फिल्म के बाद उन्हें ताल और दिल धड़कने दो फिल्म के लिए भी मिल चूका है.
9) ये फिल्म सन 1966 की मराठी प्ले ” अश्रूंची ज़हली फुले ” पर आधारित थी और इसके राइटर वसंत कानेटकर थे.
10) इस फिल्म का रीमेक सन 1986 में मलयालम में बनाया गया था. जिसका टाइटल ” इथीले इनियुम वरु ” था और इस फिल्म में लीड रोल में ममूटी नज़र आये थे.
11) ये फिल्म दिलीप कुमार और वहीदा रेहमान की साथ में आखरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले दोनों ने साथ में कई फिल्मो में काम किया था.
12) इस फिल्म में अमरीश पूरी ने पहली बार अनिल कपूर की फिल्म में विलेन का रोल निभाया था. इस फिल्म के बाद उन्होंने अनिल कपूर की कई फिल्मो में विलेन का रोल निभाया था.
13) यश चोपड़ा एक बार एक प्ले देखने गए थे जिसमे अनुपम खेर थे. यश चोपड़ा को अनुपम खेर की एक्टिंग काफी पसंद आयी थी और उन्होंने प्ले के ख़त्म होने के बाद अनुपम खेर को अपने घर बुलाया था. जब अनुपम खेर उनके घर पहुंचे थे तो यश चोपड़ा ने अनुपम खेर से कहा था की ” तुम बहुत टैलेंटेड हो और मैं तुम्हे अपनी फिल्म में एक छोटा सा रोल देना चाहता हूँ “. ये सुनकर अनुपम खेर बहुत खुश हुए थे और उन्होंने यश चोपड़ा से कहा था की मैं आपकी फिल्म में कोई भी रोल करने को तैयार हूँ.
अनुपम खेर उस समय स्ट्रगल कर रहे थे और उन्हें पैसे की भी ज़रुरत थी. बाद में यश चोपड़ा ने अपना इरादा बदल दिया था और अनुपम खेर से कहा था की ” एक छोटे से रोल के लिए मैं पैसे बर्बाद नहीं कर सकता. इसलिए मैं तुम्हे इस फिल्म में नहीं ले सकता लेकिन फिर कभी अपनी फिल्म में जरूर लूंगा “. जब अनुपम खेर को कर्मा फिल्म के बाद लोग अच्छे से जानने लगे थे, उसके बाद यश चोपड़ा ने अनुपम खेर को अपनी फिल्म विजय में साइन किया था.
14) इस फिल्म से दिलीप कुमार का एक डायलॉग ” हे भाई ” काफी पॉपुलर हुआ था.
15) एक बार हॉलीवुड डायरेक्टर रोबर्ट वाइज इसलिए भारत आये थे, क्योंकि उन्हें देखना था की बॉलीवुड फिल्मो की शूटिंग कैसे होती है. रोबर्ट वाइज को मशाल फिल्म के सेट्स में ले जाया गया था. तब होली वाले गाने की शूटिंग चल रही थी और उन्होंने उस गाने की शूटिंग को देख कर काफी एन्जॉय भी किया था.
16) इस फिल्म के फाइट सीन में काला पत्थर फिल्म का बैकग्राउंड म्यूजिक इस्तमाल किया गया था.
17) कहा जाता है की अनिल कपूर ने इस फिल्म के लिए कोई भी फीस नहीं ली थी.
18) सन 1978 में भी मशाल टाइटल से एक फिल्म फिल्म बन रही थी. जिसमे मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती, रेखा और विनोद मेहरा नज़र आने वाले थे. लेकिन कुछ कारण से ये फिल्म शेल्वेड हो गए थे.
