1) The last time Vinod Khanna played a double role in this film. He played the roles of Inspector Vinod and Dadu Kalia in this film. Prior to this film, he also played a double role in Lahoo Ke Do Rang and Garam Khoon.
2) In this film, Kader Khan played a negative role for the last time.
3) During the shooting of this film, Vinod Khanna kissed Meenakshi Seshadri in the lip. Due to which, Meenakshi Seshadri did not shoot for 3 days. In anger, she also threatened to leave the film. But later when her anger subsided, she went back to shooting the film.
4) The story of this film was inspired by Shatrughan Sinha’s 1976 film Kalicharan.
5) This film was delayed for a few months. Because Vinod Khanna could not give dates to this film.

हमशक्ल फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) इस फिल्म में आखरी बार विनोद खन्ना ने डबल रोल निभाया था. उन्होंने इस फिल्म में इंस्पेक्टर विनोद और दादू कालिया का रोल निभाया था. इस फिल्म से पहले उन्होंने लहू के दो रंग और गरम खून में भी डबल रोल निभाया था.
2) इस फिल्म में कादर खान ने आखरी बार नेगेटिव रोल निभाया था.
3) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग के दौरान विनोद खन्ना ने मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि को लिप में किस कर दिया था. जिससे नाराज़ होकर मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि ने 3 दिन शूटिंग नहीं की थी. गुस्से में उन्होंने ये फिल्म छोड़ने के भी धमकी दी थी. लेकिन बाद में जब उनका गुस्सा शांत हुआ तो वे वापस फिल्म की शूटिंग करने पहुँच गयी थी.
4) इस फिल्म की कहानी सन 1976 में आयी शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा की फिल्म कालीचरण से प्रेरित थी.
5) ये फिल्म कुछ महीनो तक डिले होते रही थी. क्योंकि विनोद खन्ना इस फिल्म को डेट्स नहीं दे पा रहे थे.
6) विनोद खन्ना ने जब 1987 से फिल्मो में कमबैक किया था. तब उन्होंने बहुत सी फिल्मो में पुलिस का रोल निभाया था. कमबैक करने के बाद विनोद खन्ना और शफी इनामदार कुल 4 फिल्मो में साथ नज़र आये थे, और चारों ही फिल्मों में दोनों पुलिस बने हुए थे.
