1) Before Shah Rukh Khan, his role was offered to Aamir Khan. But he did not like this script. So he refused to act in this film.
2) The rights to this film were bought by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Company.
3) The film won the National Award for Special Mention.
4 ) In this film, nude scene of Deepa Shahi and Shahrukh Khan had a lot of controversy at that time. Due to which some scenes from the film were also deleted later.
5) At the time of shooting of this film, Ketan Mehta saved Deepa Shahi from the train. Both Ketan Mehta and Deepa Shahi got married after this film.

1) शाहरुख़ खान से पहले उनका रोल आमिर खान को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्हें ये स्क्रिप्ट पसंद नहीं आयी थी. इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
2) इस फिल्म के राइट्स को शाहरुख़ खान की रेड चिल्लीज कंपनी ने खरीदा था.
3) इस फिल्म को स्पेशल मेंशन का नेशनल अवार्ड मिला था.
4) इस फिल्म में दीपा शाही और शाहरुख़ खान का न्यूड सीन को लेकर उस समय काफी कंट्रोवर्सी हुयी थी. जिसके चलते फिल्म से कुछ सीन्स बाद में डिलीट भी कर दिए गए थे.
