Dostana Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Producer Yash Johar wanted this film to be directed by Vijay Anand. But Vijay Anand was already busy in shooting for the film Rajput and Ram Balaram. So he rejected the offer of this film.
2) The shooting of this film started from July 1977. But the film was slightly delayed, so this film was released in the year 1980. Otherwise the film was to be released in 1979.
3) This film was the third film of Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan together. Earlier both of them worked together in the films Parwana and Kaala Patthar. Even after the dostana film, the two had worked together in the films Shaan and Naseeb.
4) The remake of this film was also made later in Tamil. Whose title was Sattam and this film was released in 1983. Kamal Haasan was seen as lead role in this film.
5) Yash Johar’s son Karan Johar also made a film in 2008 with the same title. The film featured Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and John Abraham.
दोस्ताना फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) प्रोडूसर यश जौहर चाहते थे की इस फिल्म को विजय आनंद डायरेक्ट करें. लेकिन विजय आनंद पहले ही राजपूत और राम बलराम फिल्म की शूटिंग में व्यस्त थे. इसलिए उन्होंने इस फिल्म का ऑफर रिजेक्ट कर दिया था.
2) इस फिल्म की शूटिंग जुलाई सन 1977 से शुरू हुयी थी. लेकिन फिल्म थोड़ी डिले हो गयी थी इसलिए ये फिल्म सन 1980 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. वरना ये फिल्म सन 1979 में रिलीज़ होने वाली थी.
3) ये फिल्म शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा और अमिताभ बच्चन की साथ में तीसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले दोनों ने साथ में परवाना और काला पत्थर फिल्मों में काम किया था. दोस्ताना फिल्म के बाद भी दोनों ने साथ में शान और नसीब फिल्म में काम किया था.
4) इस फिल्म का रीमेक बाद में तमिल में भी बनाया गया था. जिसका टाइटल सत्तम था और ये फिल्म सन 1983 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. इस फिल्म में कमल हासन नज़र आये थे.
5) इसी टाइटल से यश जौहर के बेटे करण जौहर ने भी सन 2008 में एक फिल्म बनायीं थी. इस फिल्म में अभिषेक बच्चन, प्रियंका चोपड़ा और जॉन अब्राहम नज़र आये थे.
