Plot Synopsis :
The film Ikkis is based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, who displayed extraordinary bravery in the Battle of Basantar during 1971 Indo-Pak War’s . At just 21, he destroyed several enemy tanks, defended his country, and attained martyrdom fighting till his last breath. It portrays his courage, family bonds, and youthful patriotism as an eternal example of love for the nation.

Some Details & Facts :
This is Dharmendra’s last film. He passed away on 24 November 2025. Shooting of Apne 2, which is Sequel of Apne (2007) was about to begin, but the film was shelved after Dharmendra’s death. This film features a poem titled “Aaj Vi Ji Karda Hai Pind Apne Nu Jaanwa” which was written by Dharmendra himself.
This film marks Agastya Nanda’s theatrical debut. His first film was The Archies (2023), which was released directly on Netflix. This film marks the debut of Simar Bhatia, Akshay Kumar’s niece.
Film was shot on real locations and no green screen was used.
The film’s story is based on the life of Arjun Khetarpal, who was martyred for his country at the age of 21 ( twenty-one ), which is why the film is titled ” Ikkis (21) “.
