Sadma Movie Unknown Facts :
1) Sridevi and Kamal Haasan acted in many films in South. But this film was the only Hindi film together.
2) This film was a Hindi remake of the 1982 Tamil film Mundram Pirai. Each and every scene from this film was copied in the film Sadma and both films featured Kamal Haasan and Sridevi in the lead roles. Some critics said that there was no need to remake. If the same film would have been dubbed and released in Hindi instead of a remake, the film would have been a hit.
3) It was the debut film of director Balu Mahendra and music composer Ilaiyaraaja.
सदमा फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ दिलचस्प और अनसुनी बातें ( Facts in Hindi ) :
1) श्रीदेवी और कमल हासन ने साउथ में कई फिल्मों में काम किया था. लेकिन ये फिल्म दोनों की साथ में एकमात्र हिंदी फिल्म थी.
2) ये फिल्म सन 1982 में आयी तामिल फिल्म मुन्द्रम पिराई की हिंदी रीमेक थी. इस फिल्म से एक एक सीन सदमा फिल्म में कॉपी किये गए थे और दोनों ही फिल्मों में कमल हासन और श्रीदेवी लीड रोल में थे. कुछ क्रिटिक्स का कहना था की रीमेक बनाने की ज़रूरत ही नहीं थी. अगर रीमेक की जगह उसी फिल्म को हिंदी में डब कर के रिलीज़ किया जाता तो फिल्म ज़रूर हिट होती.
3) ये फिल्म डायरेक्टर बालू महेंद्र और म्यूजिक कंपोजर इलैयाराजा की डेब्यू फिल्म थी.
