Devdas Movie Unknown Facts and Trivia :
1) Madhuri Dixit wore a 30 kg outfit in the song Kahe Chhede Mohe. Due to being very heavy, there was a lot of difficulty in dancing. But despite this she completed the dance.
2) Shahrukh Khan actually drank alcohol to shoot some drunken scenes for this film. So that there could be some realism in the film, but due to drinking alcohol, retakes had to be taken several times to shoot the scenes.
3) Time magazine called Devdas the best movie of 2002 not only in India but in the entire world.
4) Usually 3 to 4 generators were used for shooting the film. But for Devdas, 42 generators were used. Due to which all the marriages that were taking place at that time faced some problems. Because almost a lot of generators were kept in the sets of Devdas.
5) It took almost two and a half years for Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ismail Darbar to compose the music of this film.
6) Sanjay Leela Bhansali took about 1 week to write the song Dola Re Dola. Because Sanjay Leela Bhansali believed that if two great actresses are going to be in the song, then the song should also be perfect.
7) Aishwarya Rai had described this film as the best film of her career.
8) Before Shahrukh Khan, the role of Devdas was offered to Salman Khan. But he refused to work in the film.
9) This film was the third film made under the direction of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Before this he had directed Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Salman Khan was seen in both his previous films.
10) Before Jackie Shroff, the role of Chunnilal was offered to Manoj Bajpayee, Govinda and Saif Ali Khan. But everyone refused to do this role.
11) At the time of shooting, there was news that Madhuri Dixit was pregnant. But this was just a rumour. Madhuri Dixit was not pregnant at that time.

देवदास फिल्म से जुड़ी कुछ अनसुनी बातें ( Facts & Trivia in Hindi ) :
1) काहे छेड़े मोहे गाने में माधुरी दीक्षित ने 30 किलो का ऑउटफिट पहना था. बहुत भारी होने के कारण होने नाचने में काफी परेशानी हो रही थी. लेकिन इसके बावजूद उन्होंने डांस पूरा किया था.
2) इस फिल्म के कुछ शराबी सीन्स को शूट करने के लिए शाहरुख़ खान ने सच में शराब पि थी. ताकि फिल्म में थोड़ी वास्तिवकता आ सके, लेकिन शराब पीने के चलते सीन्स को शूट करने के लिए कई बार रिटेक्स लेने पड़े थे.
3) टाइम मैगज़ीन वालो ने देवदास को 2002 की इंडिया ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया की सबसे बेस्ट मूवी बताया था.
4) फिल्म की शूटिंग के लिए आमतौर पर 3 से 4 जनरेटर का इस्तेमाल किया जाता था. लेकिन देवदास के लिए 42 जनरेटर का इस्तेमाल किया गया था. जिसके चलते उस समय जितनी शादियां हो रही थी उनको थोड़ी दिक्कत हुयी थी. क्योंकि लगभग बहुत सारे जनरेटर देवदास के सेट्स में रखे हुए थे.
5) इस फिल्म के म्यूजिक को कंपोज़ करने के लिए संजय लीला भंसाली और इस्माइल दरबार को लगभग ढाई साल का समय लगा था.
6) डोला रे डोला गाने को लिखने के लिए संजय लीला भंसाली को लगभग 1 हफ्ते का समय लगा था. क्योंकि संजय लीला भंसाली का मानना था की दो बेहतरीन एक्ट्रेस गाने में रहने वाली है तो गाना भी परफेक्ट होना चाहिए.
7) ऐश्वर्या राय ने इस फिल्म को उनके करियर की सबसे बेस्ट फिल्म बताया था.
8) शाहरुख़ खान से पहले देवदास का रोल सलमान खान को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
9) ये फिल्म संजय लीला भंसाली की डायरेक्शन में बनी तीसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले उन्होंने ख़ामोशी और हम दिल दे चुके सनम को डायरेक्ट किया था. उनकी पिछली दोनों फिल्मो में सलमान खान नज़र आये थे.
10) जैकी श्रॉफ से पहले चुन्नीलाल का रोल मनोज बाजपाई, गोविंदा और सैफ अली खान को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन सभी ने इस रोल को करने से मना कर दिया था.
11) शूटिंग के समय ऐसी खबर आयी थी की माधुरी दीक्षित प्रेग्नेंट है. लेकिन ये बस एक अफवाफ थी. माधुरी दीक्षित उस समय प्रेग्नेंट नहीं थी.
12) कत्थक मास्टर बिरजू महाराज ने ” काहे छेड़ मोहे ” को कोरिओग्राफ किया था
13) ये फिल्म उस समय की सबसे महेंगी बॉलीवुड फिल्म थी.
14) ये फिल्म सन 1917 में आयी बंगाली नावेल देवदास पर आधारित थी. इससे पहले भी इस नावेल में दो हिंदी फिल्मे बन चुकी है. पहली फिल्म सन 1936 में आयी थी तो दूसरी फिल्म 1955 में आयी थी. 1955 में आयी देवदास में दिलीप कुमार और सुचित्रा सेन नज़र आये थे.
15) इस फिल्म से श्रेया घोषाल ने बॉलीवुड में अपना सिंगिंग डेब्यू किया था.
16) इस फिल्म के राइट्स को बाद में शाहरुख़ खान ने अपनी प्रोडक्शन कंपनी रेड चिल्लीज के अंडर खरीदा था.

20) इस फिल्म के साउंडट्रैक एल्बम 18,000 से भी ज्यादा बीके थे. इस फिल्म के साउंडट्रैक एल्बम उस साल की तीसरी सबसे ज्यादा बिकने वाली साउंडट्रैक एल्बम थी.
21) ये फिल्म कभी ख़ुशी कभी ग़म के बाद बॉलीवुड की उस समय की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी ओपनर रही थी. दोनों फिल्मो ने पहले दिन 2 करोड़ से ज्यादा की ओपनिंग की थी.
22) संजय लीला भंसाली ने श्रेया घोषाल को पहली बार सा रे गा मा में गाते हुए देखा था. बाद में उन्होंने श्रेया घोषाल को अपनी फिल्म में गाना के ऑफर दिया था.
23) जोधा अकबर फिल्म का गाना ” अज़ीम ओ शान शहेंशाह ” से पहले देवदास फिल्म का डोला रे डोला गाना बॉलीवुड का सबसे मेहंगा गाना था.
24) सरोज खान ने ” डोला रे डोला ” गाने को ‘ नौटवरी ” फॉर्म बताया था. ये ‘ नौटवरी ‘ फॉर्म दो डांस फॉर्म ‘ कत्थक ‘ और ‘ भरतनाट्यम ‘ से मिलकर बना था.
25) संजय लीला भंसाली ने चंद्रमुखी का रोल जब माधुरी दीक्षित को ऑफर किया था, तब उन्होंने पहली बार रिजेक्ट कर दिया था. क्योंकि उनकी शादी होने वाली थी, लेकिन बाद में उन्होंने इस रोल के लिए हाँ बोल दिया था.

30) सन 1976 में देवदास टाइटल से एक फिल्म अन्नोउंस किया गया था. जिसमें अमिताभ बच्चन, शर्मीला टैगोर और हेमा मालिनी नज़र आने वाले थे और फिल्म को प्रकाश मेहरा डायरेक्ट करने वाले थे. लेकिन प्रकाश मेहरा देवदास को थोड़ा मॉडर्न तरीके से बनाना चाहते थे. जिसके बाद उन्होंने मुक़द्दर का सिकंदर फिल्म बनाया जो की देवदास से प्रेरित थी.
