1) Before Anupam Kher, his role was offered to Dilip Kumar but he refused to act in this film.
2) Before Anil Kapoor, his role was offered to Mithun Chakraborty but he refused to work in the film due to lack of dates.
3) This film was Rajesh Khanna’s second film with director Yash Chopra. Prior to this, he worked in the film Daag which was released in 1973.
4) Meenakshi Seshadri was to play the first Sonam role in this film and the role of Meenakshi Seshadri was offered to Sridevi and Jaya Prada. But both of them refused to act in this film.

1) अनुपम खेर से पहले उनका रोल दिलीप कुमार को ऑफर हुआ था पर उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
2) अनिल कपूर से पहले उनका रोल मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती को ऑफर हुआ था पर डेट्स न होने के कारण उन्होंने इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
3) ये फिल्म राजेश खन्ना की डायरेक्टर यश चोपड़ा की साथ में दूसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले उन्होंने दाग फिल्म में काम किया था जो सं 1973 में आयी थी.
4) इस फिल्म में मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि पहले सोनम वाला रोल निभाने वाली थी. तो मिनाक्षी शेषाद्रि का रोल श्रीदेवी और जया प्रदा को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन दोनों ने ही इस फिल्म में काम करने से मना कर दिया था.
