2) The title of this film was first kept as a jailor but for some reason it was later changed to Watan Ke Rakhwale.
3) In 1987, Dharmendra gave 4 consecutive hits, 1 semi-hit film and 1 average film. And Dharmendra set the record for the highest number of hits in a year at that time.
4) This film was the first film with Sunil Dutt and Mithun Chakraborty. After this, both pledges also appeared in the film.

1) इस फिल्म में श्रीदेवी की आवाज़ को डब किया गया था और उनकी आवाज़ को डबिंग आर्टिस्ट ने डब किया था.
2) इस फिल्म का टाइटल पहले जेलर रखा गया था पर कुछ कारण से बाद में इसे बदलकर वतन के रखवाले कर दिया गया था.
3) सन 1987 में धर्मेंद्र ने लगातार 4 हिट फिल्मे, 1 सेमि हिट फिल्म और 1 एवरेज फिल्म दी थी. और धर्मेंद्र ने उस समय एक साल में सबसे ज्यादा हिट देने का रिकॉर्ड बनाया था.
4) ये फिल्म सुनील दत्त और मिथुन चक्रबोर्ती की साथ में पहली फिल्म थी. इसके बाद दोनों प्रतिज्ञाबंध फिल्म में भी नज़र आये थे.
