Vedalam Movie Unknown Facts and Trivia :
1) The teaser of this film was released on YouTube on 7 October 2015 and within an hour of its release, the teaser of this film got more than 50 thousand likes . The teaser of this film became the fastest teaser of that time to reach 50,000 likes.
2) This was the first Indian film to be released in Poland.
3) Vedalam was the first Tamil film in the current history whose trailer was not released. Just 46 seconds teaser of this film was released.
4) This film was the first and only film of Lakshmi Menon and Ajith Kumar together. Both played the role of brother and sister in this film.
5) The remake of this film was also going to be made in Kannada. But later the plan to make a remake was cancelled. The Telugu rights of this film have been bought and soon the Telugu remake of this film will be made, in which Chiranjeevi will be seen in the lead role. On September 2019, T-Series bought the Hindi rights of this film. Soon a Hindi remake of this film will also be made, in which John Abraham will be seen in the lead role and this film will be directed by Rohit Dhawan.
6) This film clashed with Kamal Haasan’s film Thoonga Vanam and Vedalam film won in this clash.
7) This film was the second film of Ajith Kumar and director Siva together. Earlier, both had worked together in the film Veeram, which was released in 2014. Siva worked with Ajith Kumar in three consecutive films. After Veeram and Vedalam, he made the film Vivegam with Ajith Kumar, which was released in 2017.
8) Before Lakshmi Menon, the role of Tameezah was offered to Nithya Menon. But she refused to play the role of Ajith’s sister. She wanted to work opposite Ajith Kumar in this film, but the director refused.

1) इस फिल्म के टीज़र को 7 अक्टूबर 2015 को यूट्यूब में रिलीज़ किया गया था और रिलीज़ होने के एक घंटे के अंदर ही इस फिल्म के टीज़र ने 50 हज़ार से भी ज्यादा लाइक्स पा लिए थे. इस फिल्म की टीज़र उस समय की सबसे जल्दी 50 हज़ार लाइक्स पूरे करने वाली टीज़र बन गयी थी.
2) ये भारत की पहली फिल्म थी जिसे पोलैंड में रिलीज़ किया गया था.
3) अभी के हिस्ट्री में वेदलाम पहली तमिल फिल्म थी जिसका ट्रेलर रिलीज़ नहीं किया गया था. बस इस फिल्म का 46 सेकण्ड्स का टीज़र रिलीज़ किया गया था.
4) ये फिल्म लक्ष्मी मेनोन और अजित कुमार की साथ में पहली और एकमात्र फिल्म थी. इस फिल्म में दोनों ने भाई बहन का रोल निभाया था.
5) इस फिल्म का रीमेक कन्नड़ा में भी बनाया जाने वाला था. लेकिन बाद में रीमेक बनाने का प्लान कैंसिल कर दिया गया. इस फिल्म के तेलुगु राइट्स खरीद लिए गए हैं और जल्द ही इस फिल्म का तेलुगु रीमेक बनाया जायेगा, जिसमे चिरंजीवी लीड रोल में नज़र आएंगे. सितम्बर 2019 को टी सीरीज ने इस फिल्म के हिंदी राइट्स खरीदे थे. जल्द ही इस फिल्म का हिंदी रीमेक भी बनाया जायेगा, जिसमे जॉन अब्राहम लीड रोल में नज़र आएंगे और इस फिल्म को रोहित धवन डायरेक्ट करेंगे.
6) ये फिल्म कमल हासन की फिल्म ठूँगा वनम के साथ क्लैश हुयी थी और इस क्लैश में वेदलाम फिल्म ने बाज़ी मारी थी.
7) ये फिल्म अजित कुमार और डायरेक्टर सिवा की साथ में दूसरी फिल्म थी. इससे पहले दोनों ने साथ में विराम फिल्म में काम किया था, जो सन 2014 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी. सिवा ने अजित कुमार के साथ लगातार तीन फिल्मो में काम किया था. विराम और वेदलाम के बाद उन्होंने अजित कुमार को लेकर विवेगम फिल्म बनाया था, जो सन 2017 में रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
8) लक्ष्मी मेनोन से पहले तमीज़ह का रोल निथया मेनोन को ऑफर हुआ था. लेकिन उन्होंने अजित की बहन का रोल निभाने से मना कर दिया था. वे इस फिल्म में अजित कुमार के अपोजिट काम करना चाहती थी, लेकिन डायरेक्टर ने मना कर दिया था.
