1) The film was based on the Gujarati play Aflatoon.
2) The title of this film is made up of the first letter of the characters of this film. Like Gopal’s Go, Lakshman’s L, Madhav’s Ma and Lucky’s L, which together form a Golmaal.
3) This film was the first film of the Golmaal series. After this film, three more films were also released in this series.
4) This film was the first and only film of Sharman Joshi’s in Golmaal series.
5) Dino Morea was to be cast in this film before Tusshar Kapoor. But due to some reason later he was not cast in this film.
6) This film was the debut film of Marathi actor Siddharth Jadhav in Bollywood.
7) Ajay Devgan did the famous bike stunt of the film Phool Aur Kaante in this film as well.

1) ये फिल्म गुजराती प्ले अफलातून पर आधारित थी.
2) इस फिल्म का टाइटल इस फिल्म के करैक्टरस के पहले अक्षर से मिलकर बना है. जैसे गोपाल का गो, लक्ष्मण का ल, माधव का मा और लकी का ल जो मिलकर गोलमाल बनता है.
3) ये फिल्म गोलमाल सीरीज की पहली फिल्म थी. इस फिल्म के बाद इस सीरीज में तीन और फिल्मे भी रिलीज़ हुयी थी.
4) ये फिल्म शरमन जोशी की गोलमाल सीरीज की पहली और एकमात्र फिल्म थी.
5) तुषार कपूर से पहले इस फिल्म में डिनो मोरया को लिया जाने वाला था. लेकिन कुछ कारण से बाद में उन्हें इस फिल्म में नहीं लिया गया था.
