Plot Synopsis :
Set against the 1962 Indo-China war, 120 Bahadur tells the true story of the legendary Battle of Rezang La. At 18,000 feet in Ladakh, Major Shaitan Singh Bhati of 13 Kumaon Regiment leads just 120 Ahir soldiers of Charlie Company against a massive Chinese assault of over 3,000 troops. Outnumbered and outgunned, they refuse to retreat and fight till their last breath, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy before being overwhelmed. Only six survive. The film is narrated through the memories of a wounded survivor, honouring the unmatched courage and sacrifice of these heroes who rewrote bravery in blood and snow. Major Shaitan Singh was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously.

Amitabh Bachchan has provided the voice for the opening narration of this film. Farhan Akhtar and Javed Akhtar had requested Amitabh Bachchan to be the narrator on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati.
With this film, Farhan Akhtar has made a comeback in films after 4 years. His last film was Toofan which was released in 2021.
Farhan Akhtar and the rest of the film’s star cast underwent a six-month military bootcamp, learning hand-to-hand combat, high-altitude training, and handling .303 rifles. They even had trouble breathing while shooting in -10 degrees Celsius.
